Data Deletion Policy

At RVParks.us, we respect your right to control your personal data. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated personal information at any time.

How to Delete Your Data

Option 1: Delete from Your Account Settings

Log in to your RVParks.us account.
Go to your Account Settings page.
Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete My Account".
Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account and all personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Option 2: Email Us Directly

Send an email to privacy@rvparks.us with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

The email address associated with your account.
Your username (if known).

We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once complete.

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

Your name, email address, and login credentials.
Your profile information (bio, avatar, location, rig details).
Your reviews and ratings.
Your comments and replies.
Your saved parks and trip plans.
Your uploaded photos.
Newsletter subscription preferences.

What We May Retain

In limited circumstances, we may retain certain data after account deletion:

Legal obligations: Data required by law or regulation (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
Fraud prevention: Minimal data needed to prevent abuse or enforce our terms.
Anonymized data: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you.

Facebook & Instagram Users

If you signed up or logged in using Facebook or Instagram, deleting your RVParks.us account will remove all data we received from those platforms. You can also revoke our access from your Facebook or Instagram settings:

Facebook: Go to Settings → Apps and Websites → find RVParks.us → Remove.
Instagram: Go to Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → find RVParks.us → Remove.

Revoking access from Facebook or Instagram will prevent future logins via that provider but will not automatically delete your RVParks.us account. To fully delete your data, please follow the steps above.

Google Users

If you signed up or logged in using Google, you can revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. This will prevent future logins but will not delete your RVParks.us account data. Use the deletion options above to remove your data.
