Knoxville is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
Alabama weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for Knoxville.
Don't miss local attractions near Knoxville. Ask the camp host for hidden gems and trails.

Hard to find the right area to be able to park overnight. But once you’re settled, a great spot. The area we stayed was on the river and could fit 4-5 rigs. Clean up after yourselves though… we had a lot of trash left from the previous people.

Awesome little spot to camp overnight if you're traveling through. No electricity or hookups and about 19 miles off the highway but infinitely better than a walmart parking lot! We stayed in our 32'travel trailer towed with a pickup, a minivan, and a 27' box truck and had plenty of room to park.

The boat launch is narrow. You have to be careful when either launching or loading your boat with two or three other boats around. The road from Akron to the landing is awful. It's not been taken care of and has more pot holes than craters on the moon. Be extremely careful when driving down the road. Not sure who is responsible for the road but hope sometime soon they will see the need in doi... The boat launch is narrow. It's not been taken care of and has more pot holes than craters on the moon. Be extremely careful when driving down the road. Not sure who is responsible for the road but hope sometime soon they will see the need in doing a lot of work on it. This is one reason why I rated it so low. The road condition alone is a one and a half two star loss. Great fishing though!

Okay place for an overnight camp out. Stayed there with my tent trailer. Bathrooms quite clean. No showers. No hookups for rvs. Nonpotable water available. Very muddy spot after heavy rain.
