We love going to this campground. The spots are spaced out enough to make it feel like you have your own "yard" and some privacy. The bath houses are normally clean. The only negative I can say about Pickensville is that we wished the bath houses had A/C. We have met some great people from all over while we have been there too. Spent 3 nights here at the end of August, and definitely enjoyed it. The hosts were extremely gracious and helpful. Thanks to them, we took a bike ride over to the lock/dam. Truly enjoyed the scenery and the exercise. There were sections of the Campground that were fairly deserted, and we were surprised by that. It really is a great place. It really is a great place. Our site, Number 114, was ok, though we were a bit disappointed that there was so much growth between us and the river. As a result, it's not what we would consider a water view site. Before we checked out on Monday, we saw the housekeeping and landscaping crews come by to keep everything in order. We didn't use the bath house since our site had full hook ups, but checked it out and found it to be fine for those who might want or need to use it. It's only a few minutes to a nearby town where you can find a Dollar General in case you forgot to pack something. Overall, we enjoyed our time there, and will definitely go again.
