For two older female campers, we felt very safe there. I would call this more of a seasonal campground but it was reasonably priced, a great location to watch the sunset and surprisingly, the bridge traffic wasn't bad at all. And Im a light sleeper. Its not fancy but i would definitely recommend this place.

We love it here. Our camper stays here year round. 6 months out and 6 months in storage. This place is run by some amazing people.

My happy place, been going there for years. No frills just good ordinary people. Sandy is absolutely the greatest.

What a dump. Bring your own toilet paper for the bathroom. Not one shower stall had water pressure or hot water. The sinks got hot but who can fit in them to bathe themselves. Very disappointed, nothing beautiful about the over priced tent site with no working amenities and your clubhouse for guest use is never open. You can't answer the phone for inquiries. Commit100 percent or quit. Plenty of people would love to do something amazing with it. Granted your prices don't change all year and that's the way it should be. But come on get in it or move on. This is a beautiful town.

Southport is arguably the best campground to stay at. Sandy, the owner, is very accommodating and genuinely nice. With convient access to the laundromat and bath house, it is the perfect location for short or long term stays. And if you like fishing there is a dock on the canal you can fish off of.
