Camel Lake Recreation Area Apalachicola National Forest

The area is beautiful and peaceful. The only light is from the bathroom which is nice to see the stars at night There is a nice trail around Camel Lake. Our only complaints would be that the bathrooms aren't very clean and trash in the bathrooms isn't emptied very often. My husband took our broom and swept it best he could after two days. The other complaint is that the host lets his dog run off leash. It ran up to us two different times when we had our dog outside. I ran back to our rig the first time, to access to death and the other time I just scooped up my dog. The dog seems friendly enough but our dog can get snappy when around a rambunctious dog.

There's potable water. Trash bins all around. This place is very clean. The host, Glen, super nice guy. He takes care of that place so well.
