Im giving this 1star review due to an inexecusable incident that occured after my kid's space camp graduation ceremony today, 2/27/26, involving a male employee who was operatoring the G-Force Simulator. This employee was unreasonably irrrated as soon my kid, her father, & a group of predominantly Black students there for the day boarded the ride. Not only did he crossly re-explained the same rules a lady had already went over politely as the students waited for their turn, but added other arbitrary rules&consequences like if they were too loud he'd stop the ride&kick them off, mind you its a g-force simulator ride at place designed for children, & that they only get the 1 turn & couldnt ride again. He also specifically stated it takes 1min. to get going, 1min. to be at speed, &2min. to slow down&stop, so when barely 1min. passes before my husband overhears this male employee say angrily, "That's it!", & the ride abrubtly stop he was confused & not until he heard another employee asks the angry male what went wrong & him responding "Everything. They are breaking all the rules.", did my husband understand what was happening was absolutely a on act racism & prejudice against the group Black students as he knew they did nothing wrong & had been well behaved the entire time. So, he spoke up& told 1 of Their Teachers such after they were all prematurely kicked off the ride & the other employee & teachers were trying to figure out what was going on. Those Black Children deserve an apology & refund & I will be calling & emailing Space Camp & all NASA if nd be so that They get it too.

My 7 year old son and I attended the 3 day family camp and had nonstop fun! Before we went I was wondering how my son’s attention span would hold up but he was genuinely interested in everything we were doing. From mission simulations to building and launching model rockets to learning how astronauts live in space, the whole weekend was so interesting! I want to include a few things in my review that I had questions about before going. - Families are assigned rooms in a dorm style facility onsite. There are bunkbeds and community bathrooms. If you don’t sleep well with noise or like community bathrooms (like me!) then I stayed at the Marriott hotel. It’s within walking distance to Space Camp so we didn’t even have to drive our car. - The days are long but so worth it! The days start early and you’re going from one event to the other. - You are fed breakfast, lunch and dinner in the cafeteria and the food is pretty good! They had a salad bar each day. - Our camp counselor, Rachel, was amazing! They work really hard and are with you the entire time. My son has already been asking when we can go back. I highly recommend!

If you have a child who likes space, or flying I would recommend they attend a week, they won’t forget it.

But I’m writing this based on the reviews recently posted. Hoping some light will shine down. I would love for my family to come and visit Space camp just the culture and innovation is inspiring! But some of the recent reviews concerned me about the safety and protection of the children at the camp. Some of the reviews talked about children ages 9 to 10. The children are staying overnight at these camps. Their parents had no clue who was truly in charge of watching over them it seemed. For me, reading some of these reviews was heartbreaking. Children are a heritage from God. I hope NASA will look into some of these reviews too. Like I said I’ve never visited Space Camp. I’m writing this to bring awareness. My family will still visit and support NASA.
