My family and I booked this resort as a mid way point in between youth sport activities. This is a very well kept, clean, calm resort. The major disclaimer here is that it is NOT kid friendly. I would not recommend this place unless you are 55+. The people are mainly not friendly, which I imagine are permanent campers. My children were the only kids there. My children were the only kids there. We left after 1 night and went to Jelly stone in Elberta which I HIGHLY recommend. By 10am there were about 15+ doing yoga by the pool…imagine having children excited to swim and telling them they can’t because of elders doing yoga. I am NOT knocking that in any way but when leaving early the staff said “well it is kid friendly, we have a pool”…like I said, the place is very clean, well-kept, quiet. The quiet time states 10pm but by 7pm you couldn’t hear a peep. I am so happy we moved to a more kid friendly location, this is just a resort meant for 55+ in my opinion.

We had to cancel our reservation at Sugar Sands RV Resort with plenty of notice due to a legitimate medical reason — not a last-minute whim. Despite explaining the situation, they refused to offer any kind of refund or even a partial credit. No flexibility. No empathy. Just “policy.” What makes this even more frustrating is that we had no trouble canceling other campgrounds during the same timeframe. Those places charged a reasonable cancellation fee and moved on like decent businesses do. Sugar Sands, on the other hand, chose to keep every penny. Let’s be honest: the site will be put right back on their availability to be re-rented, meaning they’re more than happy to collect double money for the same spot while offering nothing in return to customers dealing with real medical issues. This experience showed a complete lack of customer service and basic human consideration. If you’re looking for a campground that treats people fairly when life happens, look elsewhere. I would never book here again and would strongly caution others before handing over their money.

A great place to stay. The RV concrete pads a very spacious. Everyone is very friendly. It would have been 5 stars but their down side is their WiFi, they really need to upgrade it. Bring your Starlink.

Visited a family member here and was very impressed with the quality of the park and its amenities. Weather was beautiful and the pool was super clean and warm. We stayed in the smallest tiny house and the owners and staff were so kind to us. Its so close to the beach and there is a ton of great food just a rideshare away. If you're in Gulf Shores and need to book a place for a week try these... Visited a family member here and was very impressed with the quality of the park and its amenities. We stayed a week in Seashore 1 tiny house, Dec 29-Jan 4. House was very comfortable. Great location and nice amenities. Easy to get to and from beaches at both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, and Gulf State Park bicycle trail.
