We enjoyed our time here. The CCC campground was perfect for us. One other set of campers this early in the season. Lots of construction by the lodge so the lower area was quiet. We had a great hike plus the tower, CCC museum and boardwalk were pretty cool.

Amazing, The Talladega national forest and Cheaha is the playground for Hiking, trail running, nature watching, and camping. It’s Quiet and secluded from the hustle and bustle of every day life. A great place to get away and enjoy the wonders of nature while being blown away by nature’s evolving artwork.

The drive up here is fantastic! Great views from Bald rock , or pulpit rock. Bunker tower is must stop, and the country store at the top of the mountain is nice. The new hotel is currently under construction, but already looks amazing. I highly recommend driving down, or hiking down to cheaha lake. A great place to spend the day!

Very nice park and campground. Stayed in upper campground, and had lots of space and view into the timber. Had 2 trails out of the campground which was nice. Take all your essentials because it’s a long drive in and out. New facilities under construction that will be done in 2026, so that will help with food. Definitely worth a trip !

Beautiful, Clean, and Quiet. You will definitely need proper foot wear and a copy of a map for any trails you may be using. Phone service is sketch if at all. You will need plenty of water for any lengthy hikes.
