Well maintained parks are rare, clean restrooms with up-to-date showers and lighting!! lots to do during peak season and fall weekends. We will be back to visit the pretty lake for sunsets and sunrises, so some kayaking and golf

This park has 3 rv sites. It is directly adjacent to a well traveled highway. Although it is a "State Park" it is no longer funded by the state. It is managed by the county and the funds are limited for the upkeep. There is no on site staff but the ONE volunteer lives nearby and is extremely helpful and available in minutes. For a night's rest, it was adequate.

Stopped for quick picnic of fried chix from Jacks in Demopolis which was ok but not great. The cement tables were better condition than wood. It's right by the road so easy in/out BUT also noisy. Restroom was clean and plenty of trash cans around picnic area. Swings for kids if you have them. Bug spray would be helpful.

I am rating them good because they are doing their best even they lost their state funding. The park is in disrepair, and they had to sell a large part to keep the rest running. The grass is cut, watch for fire ants.
