Bugs were pretty fierce in Jun 2025, and potable water was not available. But that’s the only bad things I could say about this campground. The hosts obviously take great pride in its appearance. The sites are very tidy (dead leaves raked up, even) and the pit toilets were spic and span. Great place to stay!

My wife and I camped here during the summer this last year, 2017. The campground is clean, inexpensive, and rumor has it that there are fish in the river. The ranger/caretaker was a great guy who checked in with all campers, helped with wood, and was doing a tremendous job taking care of the place. This is a good stop after visiting Chicken, or before heading into Chicken after being in Dawson Cit... My wife and I camped here during the summer this last year, 2017. This is a good stop after visiting Chicken, or before heading into Chicken after being in Dawson City. Take your time. The scenery is great and the road is hard on tires. Make sure to read that last sentence a couple of times.

This is a park on BLM land. No hookups but potable water going in. Nice park along the Fourty Mile River. Free firewood. Host was very friendly, restrooms were spotless with hand sanitizer. First come first served.
