Tok is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
Alaska weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for Tok.
Don't miss local attractions near Tok. Ask the camp host for hidden gems and trails.

We have spent years in mining camps so our opinions may be a little bias, it is the nicest, cleanest obviously one of the most respected campgrounds in the state of Alaska, took us right back to our younger years of the late 70's. Five star all the way, so nice to see a campground in such beautiful condition, a rare place that makes you proud to be an American, kudos to BLM!!

Best campground in Alaska! $12/night, free wood, potable water, the sweetest camp hosts, and the best part… the bathrooms. Huge spotlessly clean cedar buildings with plenty of tp and automatic hand sanitizer dispensers. It smelled deliciously of cedar and I’d like to just hang out in there. The sites were beautiful and they’re not far from a nice little grayling creek and a ton of wild blueberries... Fantastic campground, especially for BLM. Large, very new restrooms, maybe a year old, that were spotless (a credit to the host Klaus). They even had doormats outside and air fresheners inside. Sites themselves were all well-maintained, and potable water was available. Only $10 per night (or $5 with some of the park passes), too. If I can leave 10 stars I would. This place is so magical and the photos I posted are just so beautiful, out of this world, and will keep you mesmerized for sometime. There’s not much hiking but there are accesses for ATVs and the tranquility is what you need to soak up there. A must see, FYI the photos are not enhanced.
