Campground had a nice distance between each camping space, so I felt like we have privacy. Then within walking distance is the Mendenhall river. The water, the sky, and surrounding nature were gorgeous.

Wildlife is part of the charm — you might spot bald eagles, squirrels, or even a bear at a safe distance. Though there are many campsites, each is well-spaced with trees and greenery providing privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. The air is crisp, the nearby trails are inviting, and the sound of a flowing creek adds to the serenity. Whether you’re hiking, relaxing by the fire, or simply taking in the views, it’s the perfect mix of wilderness and comfort for campers who value both scenery and seclusion.

We had a pull-through site that was very big, but no view. The facilities were a little far and unfortunately, the showers were not working, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay for 3 nights.
