I was there for a night shooting stars but ran into a cloudy + thunder storm night. Definitely be back. My 2nd review. Spend a night by the boat ramp for Milky Way shoot. Perfect !! Despite a "little" light pollution from Mesa-Phoenix and Globe, the sky is clear and I got a few shots. Highly recommended for fellow astrophotographers.

It’s a Dispersed Campground, so no frills except that there is a boat ramp. Plenty of parking for boaters. There is two campsites. One is an open area with small rock fire rings that can accommodate all sorts of campers and more if you’re really friendly. The other is the remains of 40 or so numbered campsites. It is structured like a maintained campground but it’s not maintained. Either site... It’s a Dispersed Campground, so no frills except that there is a boat ramp. Plenty of parking for boaters.
