I love the area and close to the lava rocks. The only down side i would have to say is that the ground is really soft so staking your tent is easy but is not held in the ground.

Amazing campground. The hosts were friendly and checked on us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The campground was clean, well maintained, and the bathroom was clean! We will definitely stay here again, by far one of my favorite campsites. Also the area is beautiful and there is no cell reception...making the camping experience so much better.

Nice clean campground near the Sunset Crater. Good hiking around there both long and short hikes. Quiet. Great view of the stars because it is so far in the woods. Would definitely go back. Car camping. No water to the specific camp sites but available at the various rotunda they have put up there.
