About Page Lake Powell Campground

Campground in Arizona.

Lake Powell represents one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the American Southwest, and camping at Page Lake Powell Campground places you right in the heart of this incredible destination. Spanning over 186,000 acres when full, Lake Powell is the second-largest man-made reservoir in the United States, creating a stunning blue oasis surrounded by towering red rock formations and desert landscapes that seem to stretch endlessly in every direction.

The camping experience here immerses you in a landscape of dramatic geological beauty. The distinctive red and orange rock formations rise majestically from the water's edge, creating countless scenic vistas that change throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky. Whether you're watching the sunrise paint the rocks in golden hues or the sunset cast deep crimson shadows across the water, the natural beauty here is truly breathtaking and provides an exceptional backdrop for your RV adventure.

Lake Powell itself is the primary draw for visitors, offering world-class opportunities for water recreation. The lake is famous for its remarkable clarity and stunning side canyons that invite exploration by boat. Popular destinations include Antelope Canyon, one of the most photographed slot canyons in the world, and Rainbow Bridge National Monument, both easily accessible from the lake. Fishing enthusiasts find excellent opportunities for bass, walleye, and pike throughout the year.

Beyond the water, the Page area offers additional attractions and outdoor activities. The town of Page provides convenient access to dining, shopping, and services. Nearby, visitors can explore the dramatic landscapes of the Glen Canyon area, hike scenic trails with panoramic views, and experience some of the most unique geology in the country.

This location appeals to families seeking water recreation, photographers capturing desert landscapes, outdoor enthusiasts wanting boating adventures, and anyone searching for a peaceful retreat surrounded by natural wonder. The combination of water activities, hiking opportunities, and stunning scenery makes this an ideal destination for RV travelers of all interests.

Page lake Powell camp ground was a perfect place for our family trip. We booked one of the bigger homes and a tiny home. Ken was very helpful. He made great accommodations for our boat and helped us out with our reservations. Thank you and we will see you again.

Chose to stay here as it was close to an ultra marathon we ran. Incredibly clean shower house with the best hot shower (much needed after a tough 55k). Ken was running the office when we checked in, he went out of his way to shuffle things around and ensure our reservation was next to our Aunt and Uncle that drive in to surprise us. Great hook ups, clean, quiet and close to everything Page has to... Chose to stay here as it was close to an ultra marathon we ran. About a month ago I was traveling through Page in my camper van and in need of shower and potable water. I can't recommend this place enough. I can't recommend this place enough. Sparkling clean facilities, hot water with excellent pressure, welcoming staff and easy access are sure things to have me back for more than just a shower next winter. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to friends, who regularly escape Canadian winters for Arizona. Thank you for letting me fill up my water. I am sorry for keeping you waiting for this much deserved review. PS. Thanks for the stickers! 😀

Even though it was busy on a Friday, it stayed peaceful and quiet, which we loved. The restrooms and campground were very clean. We stayed at tent site T7, which had power, water, and soft sand—great for barefoot camping! Each site also came with a picnic table and grill, which made meals easy and fun. We’re already planning to come back and try the wagon or one of the tiny cabins. There’s also a short hike up the nearby sandstone mountain with a great view of the town—perfect for sunsets and stargazing.Highly recommend for a laid-back, central place to stay!
