Beautiful scenery at 7000'. Only 25 numbered camping spots can be difficult to get specific dates, especially weekends. Weekdays are serine and quiet. Weekends can be overcrowded and hectic. Fishing can be good. Wonderful kayak, sup, and fishing boat access and environment. Large selection of boat rental options, however prices can be pretty high. Day use fee is $10 per vehicle as I post this. Lot... Beautiful scenery at 7000'. Only 25 numbered camping spots can be difficult to get specific dates, especially weekends. Water level is better than most lakes in AZ, which are down considerably in 2025.

This is a gorgeous campground right on the lake. Donna & Doug are amazing camp hosts. It's very well kept and one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campground. The views are stunning and the air is fresh. Lots of chipmunks, squirrels and birds. The lake was gorgeous to paddleboard on. Lots of fish jumping. Great hiking trails. We absolutely loved our stay & will be back!!

I absolutely love it out here. It's so peaceful and quiet. This is a great to go area. They have a self pay. You pick a spot and fill out a paper and pay for the nights you'll stay. I paid $29 a night which isn't bad. They have a bunch, a fire pit and a grill in everything spot. There are two restroom on in the front by the dumpster and one in the back of the site. They only have one toilet. It's... I absolutely love it out here. It's so peaceful and quiet. This is a great to go area. They have a self pay. I fished off the edge for two days to get the feel of the fish. The last day I rented a boat. It was $90 for 4 hour. It's a great time. Dog friendly

Great place to go camping. My kids had a blast and enjoyed the campgrounds. Campgrounds said it was full, but spoke to the host and had one spot left for the night. Temperatures are cooler than Payson and they due run out of firewood at the campground store, I recommend bringing your own firewood. Clean campground, the bathrooms are vault style bathrooms. Campers are pretty friendly and helpful since it was our first time camping. Firepits, grills and picnic tables at each site are available.
