About Dispersed Site 7

Campground in Arizona.

Nestled within Arizona's vast national forest landscape, Dispersed Site 7 offers RV campers an authentic back-to-nature experience away from the hustle and bustle of developed campgrounds. This dispersed camping area provides the freedom and solitude that many full-time RVers and weekend adventurers seek when exploring Arizona's natural beauty.

Dispersed camping in Arizona's national forests represents a unique opportunity for travelers who value independence and authentic wilderness immersion. Unlike traditional RV parks with amenities and services, dispersed sites offer a more rugged, self-sufficient camping experience. You'll find yourself surrounded by the natural landscape of Arizona, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the serenity that national forest camping provides. This type of camping appeals to experienced RV travelers who are comfortable with minimal facilities and want to minimize their impact on the environment.

The Arizona national forest setting provides stunning scenery and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the year. Depending on which forest contains this dispersed site, you might experience cool mountain air, pine-covered hillsides, and dramatic desert vistas. The area is ideal for those interested in hiking, exploring forest roads, wildlife viewing, and enjoying starry night skies far from light pollution. Early morning and evening are particularly magical times to experience the natural rhythms of the forest.

Dispersed Site 7 works wonderfully for RV travelers who already have full hookups or are equipped for dry camping, with fresh water, fuel, and supplies obtainable in nearby Arizona communities. The site attracts visitors year-round, with spring and fall offering particularly pleasant weather. Summer provides mountain elevation relief from desert heat, while winter draws those seeking milder temperatures compared to higher elevations.

This location suits independent travelers, nature enthusiasts, remote workers with mobile setups, and anyone seeking an affordable camping experience with genuine connection to Arizona's natural environment. The freedom to camp at your own pace, without scheduled activities or crowds, makes dispersed camping perfect for those who define vacation as peaceful solitude in the great outdoors.

I actually stayed at campsite 1. This campsite was extremely dusty! The forest service road is good but supports extreme traffic. Lots of space and hiking available. It was nice to see the leaves turning color. It's close to downtown Prescott. About 10 minutes.

Been a cool experience coming up here. Campsites are primitive but some are in really beautiful sections of the forest. Hats off to the USFS

The sites are all within a few feet of each other and are not very level. The desperate camping around Prescott is terrible compared to the desperate camping on the Moggion rim and around Williams.

Nice camp site with open areas with shade. Can be noisy next to road with UTV'S & 4x4's running up and down all night.

Had a great visit to Prescott Az. Nice wilderness area with wildlife spotted. Campsite is very small and Google maps took me through FR53. Unless you have 4x4, you may want to take an alternate route, which we did when leaving. Only 4 stars due to all dispersed campsites 6 are adjacent to a well traveled dirt road.
