It's my first experience camping with my family with our camping trailer. It was a blast, labor day weekend. It's was worth it for the drive, if you look for wilderness this is perfect place for you. Beautiful Ashurst lake, we watch sunsets, sunrise, there are beautiful wild flowers It's a plus, long country. Staff were amazing. Definitely great memories with our infant.

Camped here end of July and it was beautiful by the lake although it was extremely windy. It’s 4 miles of dirt bumpy road so take your time getting in. The camp host, Kat, was such a sweet heart who checked on us multiple times to see if we were ok. Bathrooms were always so clean and never smelled. Probably the cleanest camp bathrooms we’ve been in. We had spots 10, 11, 12. Camp sites are very roc... Camp sites are very rocky not really any shade. 10 was nice up on the lake had a lot of open space -no shade. 11 had no shade whatsoever and it was extremely rocky with boulders but we made it work with two tents. 12 was small, secluded and wedged between trees. Overall we got the 3 sites but hubbed at site 10 with our 10 adults and 3 kids. Lake was nice didn’t look too dirty. It was way too windy to fish or paddle board but we enjoyed being right on the lake. It’s a little bumpy walking down to the lake on the boulders so bring some hiking/real shoes. I would recommend bringing lot of stakes/weights for the canopy’s because the wind storms can get crazy.

Campground is clean with great views. The hostess was very friendly. They have clean bathrooms and potable water. You are on the lake. There is some cell reception. Easy drive, a car can make it there though you will face some corrugated roads.
