The hikes are serene and the panoramas majestic. A beautiful spot perfect for the family to get outside and enjoy the pines for a weekend. I couldn't recommend it more: we had a fabulous time! It's surprisingly easy to access too, about 40 minutes past Payson. Plan *well* ahead when reserving, though (I'd recommend 6 months), or you'll miss a chance for this fabulous spot!

Visited for a group hammock hanging event. Plenty of trees and picnic tables for dispersion. Two pit toilets. Large central campfire ring. Easy access for cars, with only a couple washout areas that caused any concern...easy to negotiate if you are careful. Lots of wildlife, from birds and squirrels to elk and coyotes. A very nice place.

This is tent and trailer camping with no services. There are locked and inaccessible buildings and cabins onsite and it only has vault toilets. No water, power, septic, or other services.
