Very cozy cabins, very simple and well maintained, and taken care of. Common areas are very clean. Kitchen is my wife’s favorite, clean and full of dishes. Our host Arty was very friendly and helpful. He showed us a couple great hikes that we did and would recommend. One hike to the Big Springs Tower starts from the site and is about 4 miles round trip. One hike to the Big Springs Tower starts from the site and is about 4 miles round trip. It’s a mild hike with about 1000 feet elevation gain. Very rewarding at the end when you see the tower. The second hike is Brow Monument trail just about 10 minutes away from the cabins. Well maintained and a lot to learn along the way. Very easy and pleasant hike.

Great place to stay if you like the north rim area. Warm and dry during bad weather. Showers were kept very clean. Only drawback is wish it was open until October 31st which is the normal close for the season date.

We had no problems with electricity that weekend, but we've heard it has gone out before, so be ready for that. As of the time of this review, there was no cell phone reception, so if you plan to do a little work or check in with people while you're up there, you'll have to drive out of the area to do it. We plan to visit again soon.

Our LARP group went up for a weekend to this BEAUTIFUL site, and everything about it was amazing!!! The cabins allowed for 5 people each and were very comfortable and well furnished. The cabins allowed for 5 people each and were very comfortable and well furnished. The main building had a wonderful kitchen that we used to great effect, and turned into a little Tavern whilst we were there, and it felt like we had really traveled to a different world! Every day, we saw humming birds fly right up to us under a large tree out front that acted as our meeting area, and there were dragonflies all over, especially near the pond! There were other bugs around, tho they did not really ever bother us!? The shared modern bathroom and showers were a blessing and a half! The only "drawback" I might mention, if you want to call it that, is that cell service is not available at all (I have Verizon)... but back to the good stuff! I can not say enough about our hosts, Laura was always l nearby, and I think she had a good time watching our group playing in the fields and buildings around the site, never interfering but always ready to help should we have need for it! The other gentleman checked in regularly the same as Luara, and tho I did not personally interact with him much. I heard from others in my group that he was very knowledgeable and shared a lot about the history and landscape around the site! They were both AMAZING, and if you get to read this, I offer my most sincere thanks for such a wonderful weekend! We shall return to this little slice of paradise in the future, of that I am certain!

Amazing experience! Full kitchen, camping fire pit, running stream down the mountain, wood burning stove in the cabins with 3 beds each. You bring your own bed sheets, towels, shampoo, and toiletries. Great location to see the grand canyon, and state parks!
