About Aztec RV Resort

Campground in Arizona.

Nestled in Mesa, Arizona, Aztec RV Resort offers travelers a convenient home base for exploring one of Arizona's most vibrant desert communities. Located on East Main Street, this RV park provides easy access to the amenities and attractions that make Mesa a popular destination for winter visitors and year-round adventurers alike.

Mesa's location in the heart of the Phoenix metropolitan area means you're never far from major attractions and activities. The city itself boasts a thriving cultural scene with world-class museums, including the Arizona Museum of Natural History and the Mesa Arts Center, which hosts rotating exhibitions and performances throughout the year. Art lovers will appreciate the downtown Mesa Arts District, filled with galleries, studios, and public art installations that reflect Arizona's rich artistic heritage.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the greater Phoenix area offers exceptional hiking, golfing, and desert exploration opportunities. The nearby Apache Trail scenic drive provides stunning views of the Superstition Mountains and historic mining areas, perfect for a day trip. Golfers will find championship courses scattered throughout the valley, with options ranging from championship layouts to executive courses. The nearby Superstition Mountains offer excellent hiking trails with varying difficulty levels, from leisurely walks to challenging summit hikes.

Spring training baseball is a major draw for Mesa visitors during March and early April, with the Chicago Cubs and other MLB teams holding spring training games at local facilities. This makes Aztec RV Resort an ideal jumping-off point for baseball fans looking to catch multiple games during spring training season.

The resort's East Main Street location provides convenient access to shopping, dining, and services throughout Mesa. Whether you're looking to stock up on supplies, enjoy a meal at one of the area's many restaurants, or simply explore the local community, everything is within easy reach. The area's modern infrastructure and well-developed commercial corridors make it easy to handle any RV maintenance or supply needs during your stay.

Mesa's desert climate is ideal for winter RV camping, with mild temperatures and abundant sunshine making it a popular destination from November through March. The area's elevation of around 1,300 feet provides a comfortable middle ground between the intense heat of lower desert areas and the cooler mountain climates. Spring and fall offer pleasant weather for outdoor activities as well.

Whether you're planning an extended winter stay, a spring training baseball trip, or a base camp for exploring Arizona's natural wonders, Aztec RV Resort's location in Mesa puts you in the heart of one of Arizona's most welcoming communities.

This is what Camping is supposed to be. The campground is very convenient to everything. It’s So close to town you could walk. In fact, the lighted bridge Connects to the campground , which makes for an amazing evening stroll. Our hot water system went out so we ended up having to use the campground’s showers. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the showers were very large with great water, pressure and an abundance of hot water. The views here are wonderful, and our neighbors are super friendly. We will make Aztec RV Our winter home from here on.

The only nice thing I can say about this rv park is that the young man in the office was very nice and helpful. This park shouldn’t even be taking reservations! The pictures on their website must’ve been taken many years ago. Pavement is non existent. Huge holes and ditches throughout. No WiFi. 99.99 % of the park is occupied by hardworking full time people. The price we paid was also outrageous. Over $100 per night would suggest a lovely resort. This is NOWHERE near that. Don’t even try to pull in there. It’s ridiculous to maneuver your way out. I wish I had taken photos.

Stayed here for one night on the way to Las Vegas. Great location into downtown Wickenburg on a nice little walking path. I would highly recommend Horseshoe Cafe; the pancakes are amazing and bigger than the plate! Getting into and out of the park was a little difficult due to a blind curve. The spots are a little close to each other, but we don’t have slides, so it didn’t really matter to us. Ov... Stayed here for one night on the way to Las Vegas. Spot was level and very clean. Did not use restroom or showers so we can't say how they were. The office staff, Barbara, was great, very friendly. We arrived after office closed , but a packet for us was on the door. Only reason not a five star is the two very small driveways are very steep and uneven, which if you had a large trailer you could drag the bottom or hitch on your trailer, also due to traffic and a curve it's hard to see traffic to pull in or out. But the park is clean . Train near by is noisy at night. We would stay here again.
