About Black Barts RV Park

Campground in Arizona.

Nestled in the high country of northern Arizona, Black Barts RV Park offers travelers a comfortable base for exploring one of the Southwest's most compelling destinations. Located in Flagstaff at 2760 East Butler Avenue, this RV park sits at an elevation of approximately 7,000 feet, providing a refreshing escape from the desert heat that characterizes much of Arizona. The cooler mountain climate makes it an ideal retreat during hot summers, and the area's natural beauty captivates visitors throughout the year.

Flagstaff itself is a vibrant mountain town with a rich history and genuine character. The downtown area features charming shops, galleries, and restaurants that reflect both the region's heritage and contemporary culture. The town serves as the gateway to some of Arizona's most iconic natural wonders and outdoor destinations. Grand Canyon National Park lies just 80 miles to the north, making it easily accessible for day trips or extended explorations of one of the world's most spectacular natural formations.

Beyond the Grand Canyon, the surrounding area offers incredible diversity for outdoor enthusiasts. The San Francisco Peaks dominate the landscape, providing opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and nature photography. The Coconino National Forest surrounds the area with thousands of acres of pristine wilderness featuring countless trails suitable for various skill levels. Whether you're interested in leisurely walks through ponderosa pine forests or more challenging mountain adventures, the options are abundant.

The region appeals to a wide range of travelers. Families appreciate the cooler temperatures and safe, walkable downtown environment. Outdoor enthusiasts find endless opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and exploring natural attractions. History buffs enjoy the area's Native American heritage and Route 66 connections, as Flagstaff sits along the legendary highway. Retirees and snowbirds often use the location as a summer base, escaping Arizona's intense desert heat while remaining within the state.

Winter visitors find a genuinely different Arizona experience, with snow-covered peaks and crisp mountain air creating a scenic landscape quite unlike typical desert RV destinations. The elevation ensures four distinct seasons, offering photographers and nature lovers constantly changing natural backdrops.

Stayed one night. Location is close to everything. Not much of a “General Store” (just a few items). Freeway and train noise all day and night. The month to month RV’s looked like a homeless camp. I got bad vibes about being there, so moved to another place (I was looking to stay two months. Probably fine if only staying a few days). Front desk girl was friendly.

Very close to the gorgeous vistas of Oak Creek Canyon. Easy on and off from I-40 and many Flagstaff amenities. Friendly staff. It’s an older park. I’ve seen a number of complaints about the condition, but it is well kept up considering the age. We asked for a pull through because we were towing a Jeep and they let us have the space behind us at no extra charge. The public rest rooms are not open,... We used full hook-up with 30 Amp service. I would definitely recommend it you only need a night. Some of the sites seem uneven, but our was fine. Nice restaurant open for dinner.

I only stopped here to fill water before headed on the trail but it was worth the stop. $10 gets you 50 gallons of potable water and very convenient place to stop. I don't like traveling with a full water tank so having a place to fill up right before the trail is so amazing. Friendly staff and a large store.

I went there and the host told me and ny family that he can't let us in due shortage of employees. We get there around 6pm and we try to split our family group so that way we can get sit but unfortunately we can't for the same excuse. I'm not going to rate the restaurant but the attendance service was no good.

We needed a home for the night and quick. Black Bart’s was more than ready to provide us with a last minute spot, full water and electricity hookup. The gentleman at the general store was super helpful and friendly. Got us checked in and found us a nice level spot(Cruise America doesn’t provide jacks) for our rented RV. We can’t say how much we appreciated the nice treatment and understatement with our situation and them wanting to help the newlyweds on their honeymoon! Thank you!
