About Black Rock RV Village

Campground in Arizona.

Nestled in the high desert of northwestern Arizona, Black Rock RV Village offers a peaceful retreat for travelers seeking authentic southwestern experiences. Located in the small community of Salome along Highway 60, this RV park provides a welcoming base for exploring one of Arizona's most underrated regions. The area is characterized by wide open spaces, dramatic desert landscapes, and the kind of starry nights that only remote locations can offer.

Salome itself is a quiet desert town with genuine character and charm. The name alone carries intrigue—locals love sharing the story behind this unique Arizona community. The setting provides an ideal escape from crowded tourist areas while still offering convenient access to significant regional attractions. The high desert climate means comfortable temperatures for much of the year, making it an excellent destination for winter travelers looking to escape colder northern climates.

The surrounding area presents numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation and exploration. Hikers and nature enthusiasts will appreciate the diverse desert ecosystems and scenic vistas within reasonable driving distance. The region's geological features tell stories of Arizona's rich natural history, and casual drives through the landscape reveal stunning desert beauty at every turn. Photography enthusiasts will find endless inspiration in the dramatic lighting and rugged terrain that characterize this part of the state.

For travelers interested in small-town Arizona culture and history, the area offers authentic experiences away from heavily commercialized destinations. The slower pace of life here appeals to those seeking genuine relaxation and connection with the desert environment. Whether you're a full-time RV traveler looking for an extended stay or someone planning a shorter visit to explore northwestern Arizona, Black Rock RV Village provides a convenient home base.

The location along Highway 60 offers practical access for continuing travels in any direction. This strategic positioning makes it an excellent stopping point for road trips crossing Arizona or a destination in itself for those wanting to slow down and soak in authentic desert hospitality.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodations are exceptional for the price. Our hotel room was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully provisioned with all the amenities we could ask for. It's rare to find such an inexpensive option, but Black Rock delivers. Beyond the comfortable sites, the village offers fantastic amenities and activities that kept us entertained throughout our stay. Whether we wanted to relax or get involved in the community activities, there was always something to do. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, making it a great place to spend time outdoors. The entire experience felt like staying with friends—everyone on staff genuinely cared about our comfort and happiness. If you're looking for an affordable, clean, and welcoming RV destination in Arizona, Black Rock RV Village is absolutely worth a visit. We're already planning our return trip! Highly recommended. 5 stars!

Nice affordable RV park. The pool and spa are cleaned everyday, which was a welcoming surprise. Lots of desert areas to explore for hiking or off roading. Restrooms and showers were clean. Would be considered a 5 star if the area was paved. It gets dusty.

Loved this RV Park. Sites are big. Heated pool and hot tub. Bathrooms and 3 laundry buildings very clean. 15 miles to Quartzsite. Friendly staff and snowbirds. Older crowd. Lots of ATVs and trails close by. Has a restaurant on-site which is ok. It's gravel so it gets dusty. Would definitely stay again!

This is a great park. My one and only complaint was having to go to the clubhouse to access the internet. Apart from that, this is a very well maintained park with all sorts of amenities and great staff that are there to help.
