About OK RV Park - Holbrook

Campground in Arizona.

OK RV Park in Holbrook, Arizona offers a welcoming retreat for travelers exploring one of the Southwest's most captivating regions. Situated in the heart of northern Arizona, this RV park serves as an ideal base for adventurers seeking to experience the unique geology, cultural heritage, and natural wonders that define this corner of the state.

Holbrook itself is a charming town with genuine Old West character, serving as the gateway to some of Arizona's most remarkable destinations. The park's location provides convenient access to the Petrified Forest National Park, one of the most visually stunning landscapes in America. This UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases brilliantly colored badlands, ancient petroglyphs, and fossilized wood that tells the story of Earth's distant past. Visitors can spend full days exploring the park's scenic drives, hiking trails, and visitor centers, then return to the comfort of their RV at day's end.

For history enthusiasts, the Holbrook area is rich with cultural significance. The town itself features historic buildings and museums that offer glimpses into pioneer and Native American heritage. The nearby Homolovi Ruins State Park preserves ancestral puebloan settlements and provides opportunities for both exploration and reflection on the region's indigenous peoples.

Beyond the immediate area, travelers find themselves positioned perfectly for extended exploration. The Painted Desert's otherworldly landscape is nearby, offering photography opportunities and scenic viewpoints that seem almost unreal in their beauty. Route 66 history buffs will appreciate Holbrook's location along this iconic highway, where remnants of America's automotive past can still be discovered.

The high desert climate of Holbrook provides clear skies ideal for stargazing, and the relatively remote location means less light pollution than many populated areas. Nature lovers appreciate the opportunity to observe wildlife and experience the quiet beauty of the Arizona high country. Whether you're interested in geology, history, photography, hiking, or simply disconnecting from daily routines, the Holbrook area delivers memorable experiences that showcase the raw beauty of the American Southwest.

We had a four day three night stay while working in Winslow. The sites are all very long pull throughs with level gravel The staff is wonderful. They are very accommodating and eager to help. The site is very dog friendly with a convenient fenced dog area. Plus the office staff has treats to share. Reasonable rates, and flexible scheduling if you want to extend your stay. We were not planning on staying in this park. We were traveling and had truck problems. Without a reservation they accepted us and boy, what a gem of a park. Large pull through spots, bath houses and a laundry. It was perfect. They even offered a military discount. Pull the trigger and book. You will be glad you did.

We needed a place to stay for the night and it’s difficult to find one that can accommodate our truck, fifth wheel and trailer. Many say they can accommodate but in reality are not able. This was not the case with OK RV! When we called they confidently said “yes we can!” And they did! Great pull through site next to the clean showers and restrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable and WiFi was great!

Holbrook, AZ is near Petrified Forest National Park. RV sites are hard to find in this area and mediocre at best. OK RV Park is basically your only choice, so if you want to pay $70 for a gravel parking lot, packed in like sardines, adjacent to a mobile home park, with constant noise, rundown facilities and dust in your face-this is the place for you. I would recommend planning your trip timeframe... Holbrook, AZ is near Petrified Forest National Park. RV sites are hard to find in this area and mediocre at best.
