About Ramblin Roads Five Star RV Resort

Campground in Arizona.

Nestled in the high desert landscape of Salome, Arizona, Ramblin Roads Five Star RV Resort offers a welcoming retreat for travelers seeking authentic Southwestern hospitality. Located conveniently along US-60, this RV destination serves as an ideal base for exploring one of Arizona's most underrated regions, where wide open spaces and genuine small-town charm create a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of major tourist corridors.

Salome itself carries a fascinating history and quirky character that appeals to curious travelers. The town's name comes from an Old West tale that's become part of local folklore, and visitors often enjoy exploring the heritage and stories that define this unique community. The surrounding landscape showcases the classic beauty of the Arizona high desert, with stunning vistas of mesas, open plains, and dramatic sunsets that paint the sky in brilliant oranges, reds, and purples. This setting appeals particularly to those seeking solitude, photography opportunities, and a genuine connection with the natural Southwest.

The location on US-60 provides excellent accessibility for RVers planning broader Arizona adventures. The resort serves as a convenient stopping point for travelers heading toward or from Phoenix, as well as for those exploring the lesser-known routes and backroads that showcase Arizona's diverse landscape. The proximity to US-60 also means easy access to supplies and services while maintaining that peaceful, removed-from-the-mainstream feeling that many RV travelers seek.

This destination attracts a wide variety of RV enthusiasts, from retirees seeking peaceful winter months in the Arizona sun to road-trippers exploring off-the-beaten-path locations. Couples looking for a quiet romantic getaway, families enjoying RV adventures, and solo travelers seeking both comfort and independence all find appeal here. The high desert elevation provides pleasant temperatures during shoulder seasons and mild winters, making it particularly attractive during the cooler months when other Arizona destinations become crowded.

The Salome area offers visitors a chance to experience authentic Arizona without the commercial overdevelopment found in more heavily touristed regions, making it perfect for those seeking genuine regional character and natural beauty.

We loved this RV park! Thank you for a lovely 2 days and for taking us due to weather conditions coming from SoCal. The people who work here are so friendly and the campers too. Car and RV wash, propane on site. We think every campground should offer washes for their rigs. We would have liked to see glow in the dark golf but we had to leave due to other engagements. Nice size level sites, full hoo... We loved this RV park! Thank you for a lovely 2 days and for taking us due to weather conditions coming from SoCal. A good place to play in the desert with mountain bikes and razors.

We were traveling towards Lake Havasu after battling Phoenix traffic for hours. Late afternoon, we came upon the 4-R, Ramblin Roads RV Resort and decided to call it a day. The place was excellent! Well maintained, clean, quiet (even though next to the highway, traffic was light). This place is definitely on our list whenever in the area.
