We had a wonderful experience here. The on-site staff was great. Super helpful and sincere folk. They keep the whole camp clean and neat. They keep the whole camp clean and neat. We had a hiccup when we first checked in, but they addressed it right away and we all ended up laughing about it. We felt welcomed and would definitely book here again. In fact, we enjoyed the vibe so much that we extended our stay an extra night. The location is an easy, flat, 3 block walk to the historic main street of Tombstone (Allen St). We could see the OK Corral from our front porch. Wyatt Earp's house is just 2 blocks away. We stayed in Cabin 1 and Cabin 2. Beds were super comfy/cozy with memory foam tops (If you prefer super firm mattresses, this is not for you). The shared hot tub (only accessible if you stay in Cabin 1 and/or 2) was fresh, clean and provided a lovely soak under the stars. Be aware the cabin itself is a small studio, and bathroom is quite tiny. The shower is what we call a "telephone booth" shower, which was fine for us, but there are also more spacious showers next to the laundry room across from the main office. Also, the "kitchenette" is just a sink, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffeemaker. There is no hot plate or stove. We visited during a rainy, wintry week and the portable heaters provided were more than adequate. We actually had to put them on the lowest setting or else the room got crazy hot! Lol! There appears to be a good AC unit installed for the summer months. Overall a great stay. Thanks for having us!

The only thing this place has going for it is the proximity to the historical district of Tombstone. The only thing this place has going for it is the proximity to the historical district of Tombstone. It’s hard to see where the entrance to this park is because the sign is no longer there and there’s a welcome sign underneath it that’s actually missing an E. The sites are way too close together; in fact when we first got there, I could have reached out my kitchen window and touched the next RV. There were three sites in front of us that were too small to fit a tent and another class C tried to pull in and camp. Luckily they were were able to move into another site. If not, we probably would have had to leave. The dog area is covered in green outdoor carpet and the fence around it is not suitable for a small dog. The pickets are too far apart, and the dog can easily slip through. The restaurant is only open until 1:00 and only on certain days of the week so it’s not really doable for a late lunch or dinner. According to the map we were given there was about 60 spaces on our side and only one shower and toilet for the men and one for the women. The door to the men’s shower had no lock on it. The lock on the keypad didn’t work and the dead lock was completely gone Not very private at all. The park is right next to the road so it does not feel secure at all. The entire time we were there we worried about our belongings. I definitely would not recommend this place for more than just an overnight stop.

The good the bad and the ugly. Location on Alan street is ideal for all the cool places up the road. Laundry facilities were also good. One shower/bathroom a piece for Women/Men for the whole park isn’t good enough, to boot that the men’s bathroom didn’t lock from the inside, and no excuses for cleanliness, when the same old pieces of toilet paper layed on the floor for our whole stay, INEXCUSABLE. So let’s talk about feeling safe… Although we had no issues doesn’t hide the fact it felt unsafe, anyone from the street could walk right through the park, safe? You decide. Would I recommend Stampede? Probably not. Would I stay again? No.

Overall Impression: Disappointing and Frustrating I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this RV park was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. Our entire family is angry and unimpressed with our experience at Stampede RV Park. From the start, the environment felt hostile and unwelcoming. The management was quick to blame and slow to listen. When I tried to explain our side or ask questions, I was dismissed and made to feel like a problem rather than a guest. The staff seemed more interested in finding fault than in helping us feel at home. - Accusatory Management: The park manager was extremely accusatory and never gave us the benefit of the doubt. We always picked up after ourselves, and whenever anything was pointed out, we took care of it immediately. Despite this, we were constantly blamed for things we didn’t do. - Double Standards: We never complained about issues we saw or things that bothered us. The one time I tried to voice a concern, I was dismissed and essentially told to “get lost” (in much harsher words). This man was rude as can be. - Unkind Community: Another resident yelled at my children, including my autistic son, for simply walking our dog. No support from management was provided. - The worst part was a serious privacy violation: someone from the Tombstone area, who was not a resident or staff member, entered our site and rifled through our belongings without permission or even introducing themselves. This made us feel unsafe and completely unwelcome. - No Willingness to Understand: There was a complete lack of empathy or willingness to understand our situation or needs as a family, especially with a neurodiverse child. Final Thoughts: We DO NOT recommend Stampede RV Park to families, pet owners, or anyone expecting fairness and respect. The staff and residents created an uncomfortable, accusatory, and even unsafe environment. If you value kindness, understanding, and a sense of community, you’ll want to stay far away from this park. We will not be returning, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same negative experience. We still expect our refund for 7 unused days and because of false advertisement for swimming and hot tubs, which werent there.
