Roper Lake is WONDERFUL! The staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful, even though this was the holidays and they had to work. The facilities have been upgraded in the past few years and are in TOP shape. What a great park, thank you for keeping it up. We camped in our fifth wheel and hooked up to their 50amp power. Dump station (nicest I've ever seen) at the park entrance. This was the fourth time we have been here in the past 10 years and each time the park is significantly improved. The $50/night fee is not inexpensive but the new/well maintained facilities it is worth it. Highly recommended!

As for trails, they have a 0.75 (?) rocky hike up a small hill with some interpretive signs and another trails that is a straight path that takes you in between the campgrounds. What's neat is if you pay up at the Dankworth State Park down the road, you get free entry here same day.
