What a fantastic place to view the eclipse. There were thousands of people in town lots of them were in the park. There was ample parking along the road everyone was polite and friendly it was a festive atmosphere. The city and park volunteers provided information and help and they also came around with free viewing glasses. There was a very nice little playground and a small bathroom facility tha... The city in the park staff did a great job controlling traffic making sure everyone was able to exit safely in a timely manner.

The train is loud because you're near the tracks and a crossing, but you quickly get used to it and can sleep straight through them. The frequency slows down significantly at night. The grounds are very well kept and really nice. The bathrooms are bare essentials (men's restroom included two flushing stalls, one sink, and a curtained-off shower section with two individually curtained showers) b... We stayed here last night. Beautiful park. Great park host. The river is gorgeous. Make sure you realize the train goes through almost every hour. They blast the horn long and loud. The crossing gates are right at entrance to camp. We enjoyed our stay
