Nash is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.

We loved our stay! We stayed at site 406 for 6 days. Very quiet at night and great views of Orange lake. Boat launch and docking available. You are located in between ocala and Gainsville . McIntosh is a very historical town and is simply adorable. Buy your groceries before you get there, there’s nothing close by but a dollar general.

Nice park. A little tight parking and RV water front but a very helpful camp host. Rated on 4 stars because road to water front not marked and map was a little confusing with all the buildings and extra turns...some signage with camp spots noted would be helpful.

This is the daily hostility guests are forced to deal with at Sportsman’s Cove. This is the daily hostility guests are forced to deal with at Sportsman’s Cove. The first photo is the man ( Hoger )who repeatedly confronted guests entering our space without warning, pointing, raising his voice, and inventing new ‘rules’ every time he showed up. The two older park monitors ( KIM & KENT) the man and woman in the golf cart and in the yard also patrolled the park, approaching people’s RVs while they were gone and inspecting things without permission, This is not hospitality. It is surveillance, intrusion, and control and no paying guest should ever have to experience this. If the park wants to demand resort-level upkeep from guests, they should look in the mirror first because many of the RV and mobile home lots around the property have visible clutter and junk, yet those residents are never approached. Meanwhile, certain individuals at the park seem to treat “enforcement” like a hobby. They spend their time patrolling other people’s RVs rather than focusing on running the park. They didn’t realize I stayed home from work one day, and I watched them walk up to the RV behind us and start handling the wiring connections without the guests present. That crosses a line. There is a difference between maintenance and intrusion, and this place dramatically fails to understand that. Another false claim they made was that my dad’s music was “too loud and disturbing other guests.” That simply isn’t accurate. If it were truly a disturbance, the people around us who liked us and spoke to us daily would have said something. And if it were really serious, the park could have easily documented it by calling the police or filing a disturbance report, like any property owner would. None of that happened, because it wasn’t a real issue. The music was at a reasonable volume, and the neighbors around us were perfectly fine with it. Instead of communicating like adults, management decided to punish us by cutting down a tree that provided shade and a nice place for my dad to sit and enjoy the view. That is not professionalism that is spite. Nobody travels to an RV park to be forced to sit inside an RV all day. Many of the long-term residents there stay inside because of age or isolation, and that’s fine but young, active people don’t want to be cramped in a box all day. We were simply enjoying the outdoors the way any normal person would. This RV park could be thriving the location is beautiful, the lake is stunning, and there is potential here. But the poor management doesn’t attract people; it pushes them away. The atmosphere isn’t peaceful it’s tense. Instead of hospitality, you get surveillance. Instead of respect, you get confrontation. Instead of community, you get micromanagement. If you’re looking for a true resort experience, this is not it. Sportsman’s Cove likes to act “high-standard,” but the appearance of the park does not match that attitude. If you want a well-maintained, peaceful, and actually respectful place to stay, go to Sun Retreats. They have a beautiful view & a booming restaurant (eagles nest) great experience to bring family. It’s pricier, but you get what you pay for peace, privacy, and staff who don’t hover or micromanage guests. this park does not know how to take constructive criticism. Before writing this review, look at the responses they’ve posted to other guests who tried to offer feedback. Instead of listening, reflecting, or improving, they reply with arguments, excuses, and blame-shifting. Every negative review becomes a fight. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how they operate a professional business accepts feedback and grows from it. This one gets offended by it.

✨✨✨ I have been on location since about August and, while being here, the staff here have been helpful and thoughtful throughout. Initially, I witnessed them struggle with a couple of people who were bad actors on site (I believe they may have posted false reviews on here), but what was reassuring was that those folks were asked to leave. In the time since those folks were evicted, it has been so nice here. The employees who work here know what is important to the travelers and renters here, and you can tell they take their job seriously. Another bright spot. They have been building new facilities on site to freshen up accommodations, like a new laundry facility and a game room with vending machines. The docks all seem to be maintained and watched over, with no rotten wood or eye sores. I am glad I have been staying here for this time period and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting an affordable place to park and enjoy Old Florida for a while.

We've been parked at Sportsmans Cove from late Winter to early Spring. We absolutely love it!! The area is quite and very pleasant. The neighborhood is romantic. Great fishing in the lake and in the cove. Showers, Laundry room and machines are very clean. The owner and workers are all very hospitable. Definitely our favorite place.
