When you hear the title “Mississippi River State Park” some of the mental images conjured may convince you that it might be prudent to search for a different location if you are unfamiliar with the area. However, this gem of a state park is located in a gorgeous forested area atop Crowley’s Ridge. The welcome center for the park is modern, beautiful and well appointed. The three campgrounds (one of which is secluded and primitive) are in nice areas. Storm Creek campground is about 20 minutes from Helena and is only a few years old. The other campgrounds and the Visitor center are about an half hour N via a beautiful drive through the forest near Marianna.

Fantastic state park campgrounds on Bear Creek lake. Beech Point campground is on the south side of the lake and has RV hookups, solid Wi-Fi, and a stellar bath house. Lone Pine is a primitive campground on the north side of the lake. It's more aesthetic in secluded in a denser forest. Best of both worlds

Mississippi River State Park was a fun interactive park to visit! The gift shop had lots to choose from. The staff was very helpful and informative. This park is quite large. If you want to visit where the St Francis meets the Mississippi River be advised, take a map! Cell phone service is spotty. You may or may not get service by the river. This was an exciting experience for me. After 30 years... Mississippi River State Park was a fun interactive park to visit! The gift shop had lots to choose from. Watching the tug boats pass by was interesting, and then fishing the Mississippi was all around fun experience! I thoroughly enjoyed this park, and all it had to offer. I absolutely recommend this one!

Have not stayed here, just wanted to review the grounds. It is a new park with a little landscaping. No big trees, so no shade but they have planted a small tree in each yard belonging to each camper spot, so, eventually, in several decades, there will be shade. They have one of those CBU mail receptacles (cluster box units) for mail for long-term stays. They require a key to open, nice for privac... Have not stayed here, just wanted to review the grounds. They have one of those CBU mail receptacles (cluster box units) for mail for long-term stays. They require a key to open, nice for privacy. Full sewer and water hook-up. Plenty of room in the center lot for fifth wheels, saw a few motorhomes and some travel trailers. The RV park is set back a little from the road. It is on Caraway Road, one of the main roads in Jonesboro but the RV park is in the residential area. There is a church next door and a business on the other side. It seems pretty quiet, considering the location. RV spots are not paved but are packed down gravel. The center spots are pull-through and can accommodate the longer rigs like motorhomes and fifth wheels. The spots on the left and right of the center lots are back-in and some can accommodate 26'-32' trailers, approximately. The spots on the side where the church is are a little smaller and could accommodate a 16' or those in that smaller range. The road throughout is blacktop. There are some spots way in the back that are gravel and the road to them is also gravel. Those spots are limited, maybe 2-3 spots and are a little cramped but, all in all, it looks like a pretty decent park. It is fairly new. I can't speak as to the management or what the daily rates are.

This is a great RV park conveniently located close to the heart of Jonesboro. The grounds are well maintained and they offer full hook-ups and on-site laundry. Management is very attentive and rounds on the property daily. We stayed for 3 weeks and would have stayed longer. We travel for work and spend a lot of time in RV parks and would highly recommend for both short and long stays.

Just drove thru to see if it would be favorable. It's a nice place and clean but very unlevel. Some larger rv's jack legs were very close to dragging the ground so we opted out of staying there.

New clean park with all hook ups. No amenities yet but if you need a place to stay, it's super close to Jonesboro. Would definitely stop there again.
