Loved this camping spot. The creek ran just behind our site so we could hear it running. There were restrooms very close. The camp ground manager was awesome. Every morning there were deer close to where we were. It was just a great time for us and our family. Highly recommend if you like that camping life.

Great campsite! One has more spots than the other. But there's a river nearby, good water, ok bathrooms. The stars are amazing. Good hiking within walking and short driving distances. No cell signal, but a quick 10 minute drive downhill to get service if necessary.

This is a rookie camper review 😁 There are 2 group campsites adjacent to each other: Palisades & Clyde Glacier. We stayed at Clyde Glacier. The vault toilets (clean) and dumpster separate the two sites. Reservations are needed. The “Hosts” are at Upper Sage & will come by to visit & check you in. Ours were great. Both have water faucets that can accept a garden hose. There are 2 bear proof food... There are 2 bear proof food lockers. Highly recommended that food and anything scented be kept in them. There are 3 long picnic tables. At CG the north end is more tree shaded. Our tent was on the sunny south end at the ridge that overlooks Big Pine creek. There is a parking lot on the west end & the driveway in extends enough past the driveway to accommodate a smaller trailer. Our stay was wonderful. Our grandson caught a trout in the creek & one of his uncles hiked up one of the trails to do lake fishing. I set up a privacy tent with a battery powered pump/shower in a bucket with water warmed in solar bags that was well used. We were 4 families with all 7 grandkids. We had a blast. Note: use Crocker St. between the Shell & Chevron gas stations in the town of Big Pine Hwy 395 to get to the various campgrounds including the group ones.

Had a creekside site that was badass. The winter was epic here so the runoff/snowmelt was big-time. The wife and I had to shout at each other it was that loud. Totally epic and farout groovy!
