Ample parking and public restrooms are a huge plus! There's a dog-friendly trail which is great for our active pup. The trail was ROCKY so maybe sure to have sturdy shoes and your ankle stability in check 😆. It was fairly shaded with evergreens and lots of wide trees for great views!

Trail was a little confusing at beginning due to shortcut trail. Only saw one other trio with their leashed dogs. Whole area was so peaceful and outstanding views!

We reached this place by car to get a decent view of Mount Shasta from up close. We drove up the hills through the forest using a winding and scenic road. On the way one up, one can stop at designated vista points to take in the lovely views of the mountain ranges and valleys On reaching the place, which is at a height in excess of 7000 feet we found that there was ample parking available in the parking lot. We stepped out to get closer to the mountain and to take in the views. There was a good amount of snow cover up on the trails and some people were skiing too. The peak was covered in clouds when we stepped out but in about 20 mins time, presto, the clouds gave way and we could capture views of the peak in all its glory. We had a decent walk up on the snow and spent a lovely time making the best of the time soaking in the lovely view of Mount Shasta and its surroundings. A tourist help centre is available here as well as toilets which add to the convenience

The best place to play with snow! And if you have a board or sledge it’s even better! ⛄️

Best place on my trip. Less crowded, nice drive up at 7000 ft. You can trek, move around, sit and meditate. When we went there was no snow at the trail. We found atleast 4 crystal quartz. Felt lucky. Beautiful view, nice place to sit and meditate. Spiritually attractive
