The Camp host is awesome. Super friendly and tons of help. The campgrounds were clean and easily accessible. I have a 32ft RV and found a beautiful spot that I could drive through. All the limbs were cut back so first time not scratching LoL. $7 if you have a pass $14 if you don't. The creek is strong so if you have a dog keep them on a leash. I am so glad I did. Even the best of swimmers have bee... The Camp host is awesome. Super friendly and tons of help. The campgrounds were clean and easily accessible. Beautiful campground on a creek. No water or dump station but has rustic toilet facilities. Definitely get food from Whoa Nelly Deli at the Mobil station down at hwy 395, trust me. Lee Vining close cute little town with general store etc. Day trip up to Saddleback Lake or Yosemite, or go explore Mono Lake.

Pretty campground with plenty of bathrooms and around 40 campsites, cheep at $14 per night, next to a running river with aspen trees and pines all around. Good clean flat campground with bear boxes at each one, would recommend! Creek is kind of loud at night of you camp right next to it.

They found a watering hole that they enjoyed going to every day. Wish I could give 4 stars but the camp host Kevin was not a happy camper. One of the nights he decided to "talk" to most of our group while drunk and was very inappropriate. He would come over and tell us to turn off our generators when it wasn't curfew, and even told one of our friends who came later in the week that he was tired of talking to us. Would love to stay here again, would hate to have Kevin again.

From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. Kathy was incredibly warm, welcoming, and full of friendliness — she went out of her way to accommodate us, even considering the time of year (October), which we really appreciated. The campground itself was impressively clean and well-kept. The restrooms were spotless and clearly maintained regularly, which made a huge difference in comfort during our stay. The entire place had a peaceful, well-organized vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy. One of the highlights is the beautiful creek running right alongside the campground — it adds a calm, scenic touch that makes the whole experience feel even more special. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great amenities and genuinely kind hosts. Thanks again, Kathy, for making our trip so enjoyable!

We have been in the mobile home industry as resident managers for 30+ years now and we feel the customer communication skills at Camp Williams management has a lot to be desired. We were interested in purchasing a park model, I phoned the office several times and only got voicemail. After several attempts, I finally left a polite message to have the manager call me to discuss the space rent and such. I never received a call, so I reached out via email, only to receive what I believe to be an automated response. The home is now in escrow to another buyer and I feel if I received a timely response from management that may not have happened. The realtor that listed the home put me on a group chat with management and still no response. If I would have this form of unprofessionalism, I would have lost my job many many years ago. Other than that, we were very interested in the community, but not any more. Yes it was my response only after I did not hear back from the management, I am a professional and did not wish to say anything that may have been hurtful in the beginning because we are on the receiving end of complaints and know sometimes things are beyond our control but even after your management was given my phone number by the realtor sh did not respond, THAT IS NOT GOOD WORK ETHICS! Enjoy your day. This is the last time you will hear from me.

There were frequent bear visits during our stay, which honestly complimented the vibe. Cathy warned us well in advance to keep our food packed away, and boy are we glad we did (except for a salt shaker which the bear clawed and ate through!) The cafe has drinks, water, ice, snacks and a host of things that really save you from making a trip down the hill. If you plan properly and let the staff know of your special requirements, they are very accommodating and understanding. We had very special requirements which Cathy took very seriously and made sure they were met. I shared some feedback with the manager and they were very receptive. Be a good sport and you'll be treated as such

We spent Labor Day weekend camping—and let me tell you, it was a wild ride (literally and figuratively). The vibes were great: good music, good people, and even better food—some families sharing dinner plates like we were at a family reunion potluck. We set up camp at spots 27 and 28, which were near the dumpster but surprisingly, it didn’t smell. Small wins. Then came the bears. Every night, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., we had visitors of the furry, uninvited kind. The first night, we heard noises but assumed someone had a little too much to drink and stumbling on their way back to their tent or maybe someone looking for a midnight snack. Well, I was correct about a midnight snack. But it wasn’t someone, it was a full on bear as we later found out (after night two encounter.) By night two, it got real. One bear tore through the orange plastic fencing around spot 26 like it was tissue paper. Pretty terrifying—but no injuries, just adrenaline, wide eyes, and no sleep. On the third morning, just as few hours after it raided spot 26, the bear came back around 7 a.m., near the spots by the bathrooms on the river side. That was my cue—I slept in my truck that night. Good call, because the bears came three times. First round: one showed up by the café dumpsters—crowd yelled, bear retreated. Second round: back to spot 26 again flipped their cooler and dragged it but didn’t get far as people scared it off. It ran up the riverbank, to the other side of the dumpsters and made off with someone’s bag of bread. Third round: I think the bear liked their bread because it came back for seconds less than a hour later. More yelling and the bear was scared off again. At this point, I think it gave up. Also, one of the bears only had three legs. Didn’t stop him from causing a ruckus, though. It was an experience I will never forget and a great story to share that my tent was 5 ft from Yogi the Bear as the family in spot 26 called it. I'm not sure if I'll go back, but if I do, it'll definitely be in an RV or trailer, with a heavy-duty lock box to store the food and keep the bears at bay. I would suggest store your food as best as you can and throw your trash away every night. Thanks to Pedro who became the Bear Patrol and helped to scare the bears away and keep everyone safe. We were told by staff that it’s a momma bear and her 3 legged cub. On the bright side, the showers worked, and while the bathrooms did get a little dirty, the staff did a solid job cleaning and restocking throughout the day.
