About Camp Noyo

Campground in California.

Camp Noyo offers a serene coastal camping experience nestled in one of California's most picturesque regions. Located in Fort Bragg, this public campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the dramatic Mendocino Coast, where rugged cliffs meet the Pacific Ocean and charming coastal towns await discovery. The area is renowned for its natural beauty, outdoor recreation opportunities, and small-town character that captures the essence of California's northern coastline.

The surrounding region offers something for every type of traveler. Hiking enthusiasts will find themselves in paradise with numerous coastal trails that wind through redwood groves and along oceanside bluffs. The nearby Mendocino Headlands State Park provides spectacular views and well-maintained pathways suitable for various skill levels. For those interested in marine life, whale watching opportunities abound during migration seasons, and tide pools reveal fascinating coastal ecosystems.

Fort Bragg itself is a vibrant community with a rich history centered around timber and fishing industries. The downtown area features local restaurants serving fresh seafood, artisan shops, galleries, and farmers markets where you can experience authentic local culture. The famous Skunk Train, a historic railway, offers scenic journeys through redwood forests, combining nostalgia with natural beauty. Wine enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to Anderson Valley, a renowned wine region producing exceptional Pinot Noir and other varietals.

The coastline in this area is particularly special, with dramatic rock formations, sandy beaches, and coves that invite exploration. Great rv park. Most sites have all hookups(water, power, septic). Most sites have a natural forest barrier between them. Park is just outside ft bragg and off hyw 1. Its far enough away from hwy-1 that you dont hear any traffic noise. There is a central shower and bathroom bldg thats was very clean. We'll be here again in the near future

I would not consider this place family-friendly. One staff member (possibly the owner) seemed to enjoy berating and talking down to guests. We later learned this individual has a bit of a reputation in town for this kind of behavior. That said, the campground itself was clean and well-maintained. The laundry, bathroom, and shower facilities were also in good condition.

Great RV Park to stay at if you want to explore the Pacific Coast off Hwy 1. Close to downtown Fort Bragg where you can enjoy local shops and dining. Campsites are nicely spaced with a feeling of being in the wilderness. Restrooms are updated and clean. Price is well worth the experience.

We loved our stay at Pomo RV Park! The grounds are beautiful, with lots of greenery and enough space between sites to feel private and peaceful. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind throughout our visit. The only small note is that we would’ve liked more hot water in the paid showers—but everything else was so well done, it’s still a full 5 stars from us. Would absolutely stay again!

An unexpected gem of a find. We had a change of direction to our month long trip and found Pomo RV along the way. Out of ALL 19 stops along our journey this has been a refreshing find. The spots are large and very private. The laundry facility is very clean. We didn’t use the showers but there are signs posted that they are closed each day from 12-2 for cleaning. Highly recommend.
