The housekeeping was also amazing, the cabin was so clean and when we need any extras they were brought directly to the cabin. Thank you everyone for a great stay! Also, the playground for the kids is about as cool of a playground as you can ask for.

This was our first camping trip as a family of 4 and what could I say. It was nearly perfect! My husband and I have been to many many campsites and this has to be our top 1! - extremely clean bathrooms (mens/womens) -showers were extremely clean! - hot showers and water pressure was fantastic - bathrooms had toilet paper and complimentary shampoo/ conditioner if you forgot or ran out! -all campsites were extremely clean -staff was extremely friendly - the gave complimentary pack of firewood and unlimited ice! -water spouts for washing your hands were everywhere (not for drinking) - complimentary coffee & hot chocolate I absolutely loved the playground for my two daughters! I couldn’t get them out lol the basketball court with basketballs were so awesome to use! River access was so easy! We didn’t use the water tubes because the water current was way too strong but we still had fun anyways. Their on site convenient shop had pretty much most basic necessities which was so nice to have! All the Dogs on the campsite were so trained and on leash! The pups were definitely spoiled there too! This is my ONLY negative and i hope all parents read this. DO NOT BOOK CAMP SIGHT 8 IF YOU HAVE LITTLE KIDS! Take my warning please. I booked this campsite not knowing the dangers since this was our first time going. This sight might even be okay for adults but still be extremely careful. It is beautiful in the day since it is on looking the river and at a watering hole but at night this is every parents worst nightmare. Long story short, my almost 3 year old loves exploring but we always have eyes on her. When nightfall came, the camp gets extremely pitch black and can’t see much unless the moon is out. I was sitting near the edge to watch my daughter so she doesn’t go past me. Well, as she’s running around while my husband sets up the fire. She runs past me and almost falls off this cliff! PITCH BLACK. I calmly yell at my husband urgently to grab her to not spook her from standing on this edge! After this incident, we went straight to registration and they gladly switched sights to a safer sight in the back! They gave us absolutely no hassle! The next morning, we walked past it and no one had booked it. I had over heard parents walking past the sight saying how beautiful it was but the ledge is a deal breaker. At the bottom of the ledge has sharp jagged rocks and the watering whole straight down. Again, every adults nightmare if you have quick little ones running around. My husband and I looked around for more riverside sights like this and i believe the 2 on the right and left of campsite 8 are similar too! For adults, i’d be-careful especially if you had a couple of drinks. The ledge is pitch black and even my husband forgot how close the ledge is on the campsite. Thank you for reading! Have fun and make sure you look at the camp sight map before you book!

My wife booked a two night stay in a cabin at Big Sur Campground and Cabins to celebrate our anniversary, and it turned out to be a truly magical experience. From the moment we arrived, everything about the place felt peaceful and special. Our cabin had two queen beds, a full bathroom, and a cozy fireplace. There is an additional $30 charge that is already included in the price, and it comes with hot water, hot chocolate, and a complimentary wood log for the fireplace. Just to set expectations, the hot chocolate is made using Swiss Miss packets that you mix with hot water, so it is simple and nothing fancy. Still, it is a nice touch, especially on a cool evening. There is also a fire pit outside the cabin that you can use, which made the nights even more enjoyable. Extra firewood is available for purchase at $14 per bundle and includes several decent sized logs. The campground itself is absolutely beautiful. They offer different types of cabins in both larger and smaller sizes. You can also bring an RV and use sites with electric and water hookups, or even bring your own tent and reserve a space for traditional camping. Wi Fi is available near the reception area, so if your cabin or RV spot is close by, you will have access. Our cabin was a short walk from the reception area, and whenever we went there, we were able to connect without any issues. The river flowing in the background adds so much to the overall experience. We were there just a couple of days ago, and the weather was sunny, warm, and perfect. Not cold at all. There is a small store on site where you can buy souvenirs like mugs, t shirts, caps, and a variety of other items. There is also a self serve ice cream freezer where you can grab ice cream and they bill you for it. The property also has a basketball court and a playground for kids, which makes it a great option for families as well. One of the highlights of our stay was standing on the basketball court at night and looking up at a sky filled with beautiful stars. It was truly magical. The staff at the reception deserve a special mention. Everyone was extremely friendly, kind, and welcoming, and they genuinely take care of you if you need anything. There are common restroom areas for both men and women located in different sections of the campground. Each one has multiple showers and toilets, and they are exceptionally clean and very well maintained. If you are someone who worries about shared restrooms while camping, this place will put you completely at ease. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. We would absolutely come back and stay here again.

I have camped and stayed in a cabin here and both experiences were amazing. The cabin was super clean and we loved staying under the tree canopy. Tons of old stumps to explore on the property and daydream about what it was like before they were cut down in the 1800s. Highly recommend.

We had such a great stay. The cabin was very cute, and well kept. Front desk staff was friendly with great recommendations. The cabin was set in the forest, and despite the busy campground it felt pretty private. My kids especially enjoyed the playground, and the arcade games. Would definitely recommend staying here, and plan to come back.
