About Dry Creek Group Campground

Dry Creek Group Campground includes two large campsites. Each site is primitive and may be reserved for groups of up to 50 people (20 people minimum). The campsites are located within oak woodland on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by Whiskeytown Lake. The primitive campground is located near Brandy Creek Marina.

Nestled in the heart of California's scenic landscape, Dry Creek Group Campground offers a intimate camping experience perfect for those seeking a more secluded retreat. With just two sites, this public campground provides a unique opportunity for smaller groups or families who prefer a quieter, more personal camping adventure away from the hustle and bustle of larger facilities.

The campground's modest size is actually one of its greatest strengths. Rather than navigating crowded rows of RV sites, you'll find yourself in a peaceful setting where you can truly connect with nature and your travel companions. This exclusive atmosphere makes it an ideal choice for groups who want to gather together without the noise and activity typical of bigger campgrounds. Whether you're planning a family reunion, a small group getaway, or simply want a tranquil camping experience, the intimate setting allows everyone to enjoy quality time together.

California's diverse geography means camping opportunities range from coastal escapes to mountain retreats, and Dry Creek Group Campground sits within this rich tapestry of natural beauty. The region offers access to outdoor activities that appeal to various interests and skill levels. Hiking enthusiasts will find trails to explore, while those interested in photography and nature observation will appreciate the opportunities to observe local wildlife and plant life. The peaceful setting also makes it an excellent spot for simply unplugging from daily life, reading, or enjoying campfire conversations under the stars.

This public campground is particularly well-suited for groups with specific camping goals who value cooperation and community within their party. The limited site availability means you'll want to plan ahead and reserve your spots, but the reward is a more exclusive camping experience in a beautiful California setting. Whether you're looking to establish a base camp for exploring the surrounding region or simply want to enjoy a serene camping getaway with close friends or family, Dry Creek Group Campground delivers an authentic outdoor experience that celebrates the simpler pleasures of RV camping.
