Huge fire ring with built-in benches. Lots of room for tents and parking. Site is located at the locked end of a service road so there is no traffic. Verizon works great and ATT is spotty. A couple of downsides but not enough to keep us from going back… The group sites are across and up the highway from the park entrance and there’s no sign to tell you to turn. It’s a far walk and you’d have to cross the highway so you have to drive to the park entrance. Showers require tokens which can only be purchased at the main park. Parking in the main park is difficult at peak times.

Very beautiful and fun park. We camped there for 3 days. A cub an mother visited us on the first day where we camped. If you plan on camping make sure to take coins for the shower rooms. As it is difficult to change dollars for coins.

We stayed at the Lower Group Campsite for up to 60 people. It was hard finding reviews so here is mine. Book this campsite. It comes with 5 bear lockers, plenty of bathrooms (handicap bathroom) and showers. $1.25 for 5 minute shower. Rangers clean bathrooms every morning. You are away from other campsites. Away from highway and secluded. There is an Upper Group Campsite but we had no issues shari... We stayed at the Lower Group Campsite for up to 60 people. It was hard finding reviews so here is mine. There is a sink with mirror for grooming. Sink for dishes. 2 recycled water spigots, 20 parking spaces, fire ring, lots of tables and a huge area for tents. There is a campsite grounds keeper who visits the site daily to answer any questions and give advice on how to store food since there are active bears in the area (we didn’t see any). She also keeps an eye on the campsite if you let her know your group will be gone for the day.
