Hiking paradise. Lovely scenery with great weather in June (not a lot of bugs yet). Clean campground with lots of hiking trails with different levels of difficulty to explore. Dogs also love the place (though they should be on leash). Dry camping only, so make sure to bring water. There are fire rings with grill racks. There are restrooms without water of course.

It's easy to get off trail because little to no blazes. We followed some carin(human made stacks of stones). Once we saw the pile of boulders, getting to it was easy. We got off trail on the way back but followed a dry creek to camp one.

This trail has a more rugged, mountain feel. Tall pines and cooler air make it refreshing. It’s a bit of a drive, but worth it for the peacefulness. Not many people around, which I liked. Great for camping too
