However, I didn’t feel entirely comfortable during my time there. While the camp leader, Mr. Stephen, was clearly knowledgeable, his approach often came across as passive aggressive. For someone whose message centers on humility and the idea that “it’s not all about us,” he spoke a great deal about himself. Unfortunately, his attitude made the experience feel less welcoming, especially when he made a rude comment after my nephew tried to answer a question, which was disheartening to witness. I would recommend having small breaks 60 seconds min during longer lecture classes especially for those who can't stay still for very long it also gets you to get more 1 - 1 time, and talk to those who need more guidance. It's also proven to help retain information better. I also couldn’t help but notice the lack of diversity among the staff. Representation matters, and I believe it would make a big difference for students and visitors of all backgrounds to feel seen and included. Despite those issues, I appreciate the effort and heart many of the staff put into creating a meaningful camp experience. With a bit more awareness and inclusivity, Ironwood could truly be an amazing place for everyone.

I spoke for teen week this summer. What a fantastic place to attend camp! They all seem to genuinely love the Lord, are kind, well trained, and run a great camp. So much more I could share, but you’ll have to see for yourself!

Enjoyed 3 days here with my son's school as a chaperone for their 6th grade camp. What a great experience! There is so much to do, so much to see and an abundance of fellowship. The kids LOVED it!!! Staff was so friendly, knowledgeable and able to appeal to the kids on their level. Food was great - definitely geared toward kids for this camp. 😄

Absolutely, the best way to disconnect from the world, and reconnect with God and His Word. This place offers Christian based sessions to work as a team, be it a couple, a family, church staff, etc. Private western cabins, yummy food (tri-tip!!), horse rides, rifle shooting, games, lessons.... Our family goes every year, at least once.
