Amazing views, breezes, direct access to trails, clean and spacious. We arrived on the last day the track was open - so we got to see street cars zipping around the track but then the rest of the time the park was serene. The staff were great! There was a lot of wind at night because of the winter time rain dorms that came through , but each day they cleaned up the park. Overall just a great place... So cool. 16% grade driving up which is crazy but fun- views of all of Monterey! The race track is sick and my kids loved seeing the racing school in progress throughout the week and weekend. 20 mins outside Monterey and very peaceful. The views are incredible. The sites are totally flat and paved but good enough. Bathrooms are cleaned every day and trash is taken out regularly. If you want quaint... This is a nicely designed and run park with an excellent location, great views, and very nice staff and hosts. The whole park is on a steep slope, with campsites cut across the hill. Some of the spots (like #1) are difficult to get into with a big rig. There’s a shooting range nearby, so there is near-constant gunshot noise in the daytime, on top of racetrack noise. Showers are unmetered but have no temperature control, and the water is not very hot.

Laguna Seca campgrounds is our favorite place to use while in the Monterey Bay area. Just 5 miles from Monterey. The Staff is always helpful. the campground is clean and in good order. The price is a lot less than the Motels near by. This is our go to while in Monterey. Jerry Alsup/ retired ambulance.

This campground was just ok. Good location and reasonable price. That was super frustrating. When I called the night staff they said there was nothing they could do. We got by with our half a water bottle we had left from the day. It seems like there must have been a lack of coordination with the staff and they didn't mark that our campsite was still reserved for another night, so that was not great. Otherwise the campsite was fine. Facilities were very clean. Raceway was loud but that's to be expected and wasn't noisy too early or too late.
