This is our second year camping. You have to book way in advanced or get super lucky last minute. This is our second year camping. You have to book way in advanced or get super lucky last minute. I booked our June spots on New Year’s Day lol this time we stayed on site 701, right up against the sea wall. The view was great. It is a 2 car sight, so we pulled our truck and trailer, and our friend have a large SUV they parked on our site and used their large tent. We still had plenty of room for our grill/ table set up and the fire pit set up. Super close to the store, and the beach. Our kids are insane and wanted to actually get wet at the beach but fair warning it’s freezing, but to sit on the beach and relax is great. We don’t fish but we enjoyed watching everyone else do their thing. Sites come with a fire pit and a picnic table. The there was a water connection not far from us maybe 3 sites over , and a shareable one within walking distance. We did not stay in the hook ups sites. But they have maybe 10 I think. There are grass sites but you’re not as close to the water, however the walk through the dunes is beautiful. The bathrooms are gross so be warned. The bathrooms are Porta potties and I couldn’t figure out the cleaning schedule because they were always gross. The store has just about everything you might need, ice, coffee, plates, first aid, kites, clothes toys etc even fishing gear This is also a very dog friendly, most people keeps their dogs in their leashes but a lot let their dogs free. I saw no bad dog interactions the entire weekend. They have posts with doggy waste bags at almost every porta potty spot. Dogs are allowed on the beach.

I love this place, the staffs are friendly and welcoming. Crabbing is pretty decent of you know what to look for. I love the fact that you can park, camp and cast your crab snare. You can get crabs during low tides, high tides. Family environment and if you go on the weekends it's pretty much packed, I like to go during the weekdays. Less crowded and more chance of catching them Dungies.

We came to the Lawson’s Landing campground every year because we loved to go here for clamming. One of the biggest challenges is finding a friend to tow the boat. The campground is almost always windy. Fortunately, the campground host let us move our trailers and stop anywhere we want in our section. So we can use the trailers to block the winds! This is a fun place if you like clamming.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE TENT CAMPING! The campsites are extremely close together. No privacy whatsoever. They do not have real bathrooms only porta potties which were disgusting. The campsites are extremely close together. No privacy whatsoever. They do not have real bathrooms only porta potties which were disgusting. If you have one of the campsites near the porta potty then that is all you could smell the whole time. Our fire ring was super far in the ground and completely filled to the top with ash so that it was unusable, and we had planned on cooking over the fire. The water spigot was surrounded by this metal gate for some reason making it extremely hard to use. On google/apple maps it seems like the camp site would be over looking the ocean, but that is not true. There is a big sand hill between the ocean and the campsites so you can't see or even hear the ocean from the campsites. You have to hike over the hill to get to the ocean which is definitely not accessible for older people or disabled people. It was also super windy and our tent almost flew away (we did stake it down but the ground at the campsites is sand so the stakes don't really stay in). If you have an RV with your own bathroom and don't mind being super super close to your neighbors then you may like this campsite. Otherwise... avoid!
