Lower Cruickshank Camp is the closest campsite to the Cruickshank Trailhead on Highway 1. It's small and very shady, but makes a fine overnight camping spot. There's a dilapidated picnic table, a metal camp stove, and a single fire ring. There's only room for about one or two tents. Water is available from a nearby stream, but it probably dries up during the summer and fall. This is a decent camps... Lower Cruickshank Camp is the closest campsite to the Cruickshank Trailhead on Highway 1. It's small and very shady, but makes a fine overnight camping spot. There's a dilapidated picnic table, a metal camp stove, and a single fire ring. There's only room for about one or two tents. Water is available from a nearby stream, but it probably dries up during the summer and fall. This is a decent campsite, but if you have the time, you're probably better off continuing up the trail to nearby Upper Cruickshank Camp or Villa Camp.
