One of the most relaxing and breathtaking trips I have taken! This time of year it is not overly crowded with people. We were able to enjoy nature without having to hear other people's conversations. No crowds to get in the way of uniting the natural serenity.

This place is beautiful.peaceful and magical. I'm definitely going back. The trails, the waterfalls, the green area, the camping area, and fishing spots are great. It is totally a great place to bring the family, it has free parking, tables and grills near the parking area. We spotted a couple of deer and people catching big fishes. The whole area is a great experience 🤗 see it your self. BTW the... This place is beautiful.peaceful and magical. I'm definitely going back. Found this place just scrolling around maps. It’s super cute. Really easy to get to from the parking lot, but know there are stairs down to the actual falls. There’s an overlook and large area with picnic tables. You can meander along above the river on a paved trail with some nice views. Lots of rocks to hang out on but not a lot of shade right next to the water. Bring a friend and a picnic. Enj... Found this place just scrolling around maps. It’s super cute. Enjoy the cute lizards and chipmunks 🐿️

Terrific, almost hidden area and well worth visiting. I recommend you park at the Lower Falls area, and hike along the relatively easy trail to Middle and Upper Falls and their viewpoints. One could spend as little as an hour, or half a day here. There are side trails to almost each of the falls if one wishes to take them. In winter this area is gated just off route 89, but not a far walk. If the... Terrific, almost hidden area and well worth visiting. If the area is snowy or icy, it could be dangerous to get close.

The Lower Falls on the McLoud River are everything one might expect of a waterfall in northern California. Rugged beauty surrounded by equally rugged and equally beautiful wilderness. That said, I might not recommend visiting on or around a holiday, as the crowds... Rugged and beautiful, yes... peaceful? No.
