The area is home to numerous hiking trails that range from leisurely walks to more challenging treks, perfect for exploring the region's native chaparral and oak woodlands. For those interested in culture and history, Malibu's charming downtown area features local shops, galleries, and restaurants showcasing both contemporary and traditional California coastal cuisine.

There were two clean bathrooms with clean showers, with a running nice hot water. Also, they had sinks which was handy for cleaning up, washing dishes, or hygiene. There'a nice area by the sinks to handle dishes or other gear. The highlight is the picnic table area that was big enough for 50+ people who came for this group. Remarkably, there were no ants, little mosquitos, nor bugs at the picnic area and by the tents. The scenery by the campground to the parking area was so rustic and captivating with deer nearby. Of course, we had our privacy too as we had a great dance party with a DJ before quiet time at 10pm before going to bed. In the morning, by the grill, we had hot bacon, eggs, griddle, coffee and tea before departing by 11am. Altogether, it was well worth it.

This campsite is well run with serious employees at the gate. They also work hard maintaining the space. They also work hard maintaining the space. This is a get-what-you-pay-for thing, as the campground is outrageously priced at double the cost of similar campgrounds that offer you more space and free showers. However, you are on Malibu's doorstep and you have a good staff. Because it is so close to the city, you are likely to have those sounds alongside nature. In one night I heard a helicopter and two ambulances or cop cars. These definitely broke the atmosphere, as well as my nice sleep. You don't get general road noise. Restrooms and showers are well spaced throughout the campground. You have to go and get tokens for the showers, which is annoying, but it works. It would certainly be nicer if you could just pay there. The showers themselves are nice, and the restrooms are clean. Sites themselves are pretty level and come with the table and fire ring. We camped at a tent site. The size of your pad is smaller than many other locations. It is still plenty for 3-4 tents (up to 8 people), but not much room to spare. Given the location, be ready for wet conditions. Condensation will be a bear, so it's like having rain every day. You'll want to towel down all your gear in the morning, as well as make sure you rain fly is well staked and off the main tent. The area is quite beautiful, with excellent hiking and a short scenic drive to the beach. Dume point is well worth a visit, or you can find your way to a beach. Be warned that poison oak is everywhere, so educate and monitor younger kids if you camp here!

A very good place for camping. The area was clean, the staff constantly traveled and kept order. There is a river nearby and a great trail, you can take a walk with a baby carriage. Good experience. It is convenient to book on the website, everything is fast and clear.

This campground was wonderful. It had an amazing pool in the creek, but be forewarned. It's really cold. The campsites are all conveniently close to the restrooms, and they all have fire pits. There is lots of nature, such as toads, rabbits, and squirrels. I highly recommend this campground. 5/5. Campsite price: $47. A little bit steep, but worth it.

Just like the reviews say. Perfect place to be!! it couldn’t be a better spot for a quick escape from the city. Everything you need is nearby, but you still feel far away. Bring someone new to camping. you might just be the first to introduce them to the perfect getaway only 30 minutes from the city. Enjoy all.
