Went up here for a family camping trip. My aunt had rented out the 2 cabins available and my mom brought up their trailer. My sister and I came up a day later and stayed at their rooms in front. When we got there to check in, the lady went to make sure our room was "clean". We get to it. Usually smells nice and fresh like cleaning products or new sheets towels etc. just smelled like nothing. Well walking around in the room we noticed our feet were black. Brand new socks just black from the floor. Shower had so much dust and dirt like it wasn't ran in months. Not to mention the cabins were the same way. Dust and cob webs everywhere. Floor was dirty as well. I will never be staying at this place UNLESS I have my own trailer or even tent camping would have been cleaner than these rooms. My sister and I wiped a spot on the floor maybe 2x2 square, the paper looked like it had poop on it. Just brown black.. disgusting that the whole floor is that way. After noticing that, we didn't sleep in the beds. We slept on top of them because we didn't trust they changed the beds. If they can't even mop the dam floor. Or rinse out the shower and sink. There was baby daddy long legs in both the shower and sink when we arrived. Other than that, I do have to say there's tons of stuff to do for kids. Splash pad pool billiards room arcade mini golf. But I highly recommend not using there rooms or cabins. With all this being said, I have grown up camping all my life and am not scared of a little dirt and spiders but when you pay 155 a night (hotel pricing) for a clean room to sleep and it's not even clean... Your stuff is still filthy definitely not worth it. This goes for the cabins as well not sure how much they go for but absolutely not worth the price when they aren't clean either.

This is a great place for the entire family! The Splash Pad is so fun! The buckets of water are my personal fave! The staff is very accommodating and they have worked really hard on improvements! It's honestly impressive what they have done in the last year or so! It's clean, tables have been repaired and painted, the grounds are immaculate! I am blown away by how nice everything is! It's clean, tables have been repaired and painted, the grounds are immaculate! I am blown away by how nice everything is! The only thing that I would say needs improvement is the mini golf but I think they are planning to make that nicer too! On another note, last we were evacuated due to a fire in our area- next town over. With a moments notice, we were set up with a great spot for our camper. They even, without hesitation, moved us to accommodate our dogs needs!!! I would recommend Gold Country Campground to anyone wanting to get away from city life and spend a quality time with their family at an affordable price! Vacations don't have to be expensive when we have this place! Hats off to all of the staff!

For a family with small kids that like to be outdoors and still be on their phones at night, this place checks all the boxes! Grown ups had a blast to. Great family fun. Large tent sites, clean bathrooms, amazing game room and the pool and water features kept everyone happy. The game room could be open latter. The staff was very accommodating . 5 stars all way

This is definitely a hidden gem. The staff is amazing and the facility is clean. The pool and water play area are a lot of fun and clean. They have a great area for bbq's for larger groups. They are tucked away in the beautiful trees. Can't wait to go back next year.

Got lost on where to go since some of the numbers for campsites are difficult to locate. Overall, campground needs a major upgrade as it looks really run down, pool was fun but that's pretty much it. On the fence whether we want to go back or not. Bathrooms and showers need major upgrade and upkeep. Pros: Friendly staff at check in. Pool is huge and deep (9.5 ft deep on one end) and not heated Spray ground Playground Minimal mosquito issues Price Ease of booking campsite Didn't have to worry about bears and putting things in bear bins Cons: Outside staff that drives by don't look too happy to be there Bathrooms near the pool area is extremely dingy/dirty and no door to toilet just open for everyone to see plus the shower next to it was gross. Bathrooms near the tent area were also extremely dingy/dirty. Floors were muddy. Toilet stalls were so narrow that when you turned to squat down the toilet, your face can the touch the door. Showers were gross too. But plenty of hot water. Dusty near the tent area and a lot of dirt gets kicked up especially when people drive too fast. Arcade is outdated. Can hear the cars passing by the highway Tent site was on a slight slope with a lot of twigs that kept cutting our ankles. WiFi was spotty
