Over the years, this has been my favorite camping location. Waking up to the beautiful view from site 7 is the best. Big enough site, had 12 person tent and 2 pop ups canopys. If making a multi family trip, 6 and 8 are right next to 7 so I would suggest getting those also, as we did! Definitely cant beat the price $50 for 2 days per site. Only issue I had this year was the site next to us had there radio on til 130am, when its a 10:00pm lights off camp. Host was amazing tho said he would pass by at 1000 and remind people! Water was super high then when we went last time!

(You will be at least 1 hour away from cell phone service and 30 minutes from the closest store) Beautiful hikes close by with open wilderness that you can wander around in for days! When I first pulled into this site I thought there were only a handful of campsites but you just have to park and walk towards the lake the find them. The ones by the lake are crowded though and you'll have to deal with staying close to others if it's a busy season. If you can get one of the 3 sites at the end. Site 15, where I stayed, is located up the hill and furthest away from everyone, but lacks some of the view (about 200ft back from the lake). I did very much enjoy this site though and would go back here! Aside from young drunk kids who play their music too loud and yell at night it was a great stay! Unfortunately you're just too far out to hope that a ranger or anyone will come enforce the camp regulations, so if someone is obnoxious then you have to deal with them yourself. The closest store has high prices so bring everything you need. You'll also be about an hour and half from a gas station so make sure you're not rolling up on empty!

Worth the drive. Fantastic peaceful lake back in the mountains with a tight but enjoyable campsite right on the water. We got sites 10-11 and felt like we had the prime real estate. Pit toilets on site can smell occasionally, no running water nearby I could tell, limited parking and close proximity to others but very worth it. Dumpsters on site are nice so you don't have to haul out your trash. We... Worth the drive. Fantastic peaceful lake back in the mountains with a tight but enjoyable campsite right on the water. We had perfect weather, enjoyed the nice cool water, explored the shoreline and some nearby trails, and generally had a very fun and relaxing time.

Had such a wonderful time here! It was our first time camping in a long while and being by the lake was so nice. We didn’t get to go fishing or do any of the other activities so can’t wait to go back! It was pretty hot when we went and cold at night, so we brought a canopy to help wit the shade. Toilets were a bit smelly but there was another one up ahead that worked as an alternative.

Wonderful time. Lake was very close and the camp had plenty of shade. We were told weekends we're party times, but for my family, Monday-Wednesday was very nice.
