Carpinteria is one of my favorite places in the country, and like all CA State Beaches, the views are incredible. But with that beauty comes everyone wanting to be there as well. The campground is challenging to book a spot at, but once you secure one, you’re set with the sounds of waves, beautiful beach path, and short walk to town w great dining options. The downside —- the sites are essentially... Carpinteria is one of my favorite places in the country, and like all CA State Beaches, the views are incredible. But with that beauty comes everyone wanting to be there as well. The campground is challenging to book a spot at, but once you secure one, you’re set with the sounds of waves, beautiful beach path, and short walk to town w great dining options. The downside —- the sites are essentially a closely packed parking lot and, if you’re not on a beach front spot, outdoor seating is non-existent. Spots are so close together, you’re not opening your windows and pulling in/out is extremely difficult on a busy day. Worth it for a night if your focus is enjoying the town, but any longer would feel claustrophobic.

Hot showers need one or two tokens Free cold showers Flush toilet and running water sinks The sites are priced from $40 which are further from the beach to $60 immediately next to the beach but no hookups It’s $80 for a site with full hookups Great for a beach vacation!

Carpinteria State Beach is wonderful for camping. Very mellow surf and great for walking. The campground itself is relatively quiet, but the train tracks are adjacent, so you hear several Amtrak trains and a couple of freight trains per day.

Hospitality great but entire trailer park is mice and cockroach infested.....not just one dwelling its the entire lot

This was my first time to Carp State Beach. It was 10 bucks for the day pass. Plenty of tables and Bbq’s. People are camping in tents and Rv’s. Real nice day. If you are thinking of going. Just go.

A nice place to camp! We did dry camping with our 28' trailer. Very easy to back the trailer in our site (123). Bathrooms and showers were very clean. A lot of fun trails that are very easy to walk/ run or ride bikes on. A four minute walk to resturants and breweries from our site. We will be going back to try a full-hookup site in the future!
