We happen to book 2 weeks at River Lodge on a whim. It turned out great! We met some amazing people and pets! Within 15 minutes of settling in the neighbors next door invited us to dinner with other patrons. The free golf course is rough but fun to play, I highly recommend to join in on the daily group play. To quote a guest who will remain anonymous. "Its a 2 star resort with 5 star people" And... We happen to book 2 weeks at River Lodge on a whim. It turned out great! Beautiful State Park, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Park Ranger Taylor remembers us from one of the other State Park we camp at. She got us all checked in in a timely fashion. We set up our campsite and started to enjoy our stay. There is no Internet or WiFi service, so if you do stay you would have to set up a Starlink in order to do any streaming or Internet work. RB and public park, very clean, clear water, they have working showers, quiet place to hangout with your family, the great part is that there is no reception, so you can have quality time with your family.

This place is in a great location along the Colorado River. Park is old and showing its age but you can’t beat the vibe.

We have had reservations for almost a year for a beach front spot. We were charged $111 a night and for that amount, we were willing to go, because of the "amenities ", gameroom/recreation room, beach front, dog parks, restrooms & showers. When we got here, we checked in, parked our RV and did a walk around the RV park to check out the restrooms and the game room, as we have a 14 yo son and we usually hang out in the recreation room and play games as a family. Most KOAs have recreation rooms. Well, the bathrooms/showers were unairconditioned and nasty, and when we got to the gameroom, it was closed due to reconstruction. It would have been nice for someone to have let people that had already made reservations know that the recreation room was closed or going to be closing. The water views are beautiful though. And our son is also loving fishing, so its not a total waste. They could have at least offered us a discount when we arrived and noticed the gameroom was under construction. On top of that, they charged us $111 a night, and the price posted here to the spots we got were $98 a night. So we were over charged. The man at the desk just told my husband, " Well, you can check out if you want." We will go down the road to either Pirates Den or Pirates Cove, both amazing places on the water and worth going back to. Should have paid attention to the other reviews. Lastly, when my husband went up to cancel the second night, they did take away the charges for the whole thing. So, they did take care of us. The views are a 5 star. It is beautiful here, just a bad first experience getting here. I went up on my stars as they did finally take care of us when my husband went back a second time. It is so beautiful, we may come back here.

The river is beautiful and the views are incredible. Gets a bit noisy on the river on the weekend with the locals and their water craft but fun to watch. A HUGE shout to the camp host Margaret. She looked after us for the week we were there. And the ladies at the office were fantastic also. The owners best assets!!

Mixed feelings here. Our spot was nice. But it was in front of a pump house. So we could hear that all hours. Guess it was a pump house. Anyway, park models could use some love.. not real attractive. We saw we were supposed to have cable. Hooked up to it and though it said like over 300 channels (we knew something wasn't right there) we got 2. One was a landing page for cable provider the other... Mixed feelings here. Our spot was nice. But it was in front of a pump house. So we could hear that all hours. Guess it was a pump house. The WiFi was very good. Water pressure good. Our Rig is 43+. Ft. Pretty easy in and out. Maybe a tad more expensive.... Folks there were pretty nice but didn't see the staff out interacting much and keeping an eye on things. We were there in the second half of April but wasn't all that busy. However the folks using the water... Boats, very loud. 7am waterskiers, Loud boats... Already at it. Didn't mind that so much but occasionally some boats were VERY loud. We didn't use other facilities so can't rate those.

Worst experience at a KOA so far. We got here to find dog shit in our site. I cleaned that up. The adults in the site beside us continuously cut through our site all times of the day. To add insult we get a call telling us they're going to shut off the water for a few hours the next morning. We came to relax , There was no relaxation at this campground. Management booked this reunion thing, plenty of other open sites. They could put us. Don't bother Never again place is expensive and sucks
