Mojave is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
California weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for Mojave.
Don't miss local attractions near Mojave. Ask the camp host for hidden gems and trails.

This spot is a gem if it’s not crowded. Campground hosts Tammy and John are wonderful and do a beautiful job looking over the place. Fires were still allowed was of late August. Thank you Tammy and John for being such wonderful hosts!

Beautiful area even after the fire. The forest is beginning to regenerate. Camp Host Tammy and John are wonderful people and truly want you to have a great time. I was there last year in September (2021) and broke my thumb boulder jumping-I missed one, and Tammy fixed me up so I could continue fishing.

Hands down one of my favorite campgrounds in the Sierra Mountains! The campsites are huge and clean. The bathrooms are also always clean and well maintained. The camps host is awesome, he’s always seems to be around offering a hand making sure everyone is having a pleasant stay. There are no reservations and very little cell signal so make to plan for that. The campground itself isn’t very big and it fills up fast! I suggest showing up midweek to secure a site! There is a beautiful stream right below the campground and a few rivers close by that are great for fishing. Bring your bikes and your hiking gear because you’re sure to find an adventure there!
