Great location i didn't mind the no service because I was really able to cause life and enjoy nature. Campsite, 11 and 12 have absolutely no shade and the restrooms. This campsite is amazing! It was my second time camping here, and I will definitely return in the future. The restrooms are clean, thanks to the camp host. However, the door to the day use area restroom needs to be replaced. When it was locked for any reason, someone tried to force it open and ended up breaking it!

An easy to navigate campground will lead you to many wonderful spots that sport ample shade and the feeling of privacy. A short 15 minute drive puts you into Kern City where you can enjoy a cold beer and delicious bite at Kern brewing or peruse the antique town nearby! You'll find yourself ending your day and falling asleep outside of the crowds and lights in a gorgeous location while simultaneously being right next to all the rad stuff to enjoy. I highly recommend this site!

Absolutely gorgeous riverside campground - don't be fooled by the name, Sandy Flats is a hilly, wildflower & boulder-filler riverside camp. The only downside is it is very near a road, so there is a lot of car noise audible, otherwise would be perfect! Potable water and pit toilets. No showers.
